That said I would happily swap him for our 5'2 (5'8 if you count the hair) unathletic left-back.

We have no midfield again and it's 100% on Gallagher. He's leaving Caicedo completely isolated and is taking up Palmer's position. This is why Villa are breaking on us so easily.
