Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Featured Replies

I dont care about his ties to Liverpool, but I would be all in for Klopp at this point. a tweak to the business model and we'd be pushing top spot in 6/12 months. Guy is proven winner... would get the fans back onside with the players and we'd play exciting football.

Having said all this, the owners will find another mid table manager and continue to flip players.

It’s a f**king fantastic suggestion which unfortunately begins and ends with the first hurdle. Wages.

”@Matt_Law_DT: Jackson isn't in the CL squad. So even if they sell him, he will not count [towards complying with UEFA's rules.] If they sell Sterling, Disasi, they won't count. To bring players in next summer, they're going to have to trade/sell first team players.”

Quite interesting. We will want to trade, particularly if some of this seasons signings don’t work out (Gittens, Garnacho, Hato etc)

Some rumours…and hope:

According to #cfc sources:
▪️ Cole Palmer unsatisfied with his tactical role for Chelsea
▪️Certain player find Enzo Maresca ‘arrogant’
▪️Chelsea owners are aware of concerns from the players
▪️ Andoni Iraola has big admirers at @ChelseaFC

The #Chelsea board insists on supporting Enzo Maresca, but they recognise that results need to improve soon. The project was built on big investments and there is no room for another inconsistent season.

(@fichajesnet)

I personally don’t see the board changing Enzo unless things go badly. From a club perspective, he’s done a great job in his season.

Haha was getting so optimistic until I saw the source.

This is the model. Always has been. Palmer, Colwill, James and Chalobah are prime. Santos showing that the whole model works. Forget about the other 45 players, Santos will be one of the golden geese

Got quite upbeat when I saw this on Twitter / X last night.

But that was short-lived as the reality is, Maresca is going nowhere anytime soon. We're stuck with the bald c**t.

sad

Tbf, the model is contingent on keeping the best players. Caicedo, Palmer, Cucurella, were all awarded with new lucrative long term deals. We sacrificed and gambled last January's window for Santos to keep developing at Strasbourg.

Jorgensen, Sanchez, Tosin, Chalobah, Badiashile, George, and even Gittens + Enzo will be the ones most likely to be sold next summer.

Acheampong as well.

If I am Acheampong, I am telling my agent to bring Madrid back to the table in Jan. He had loan offers to go and get regular games but we turned them down. Maresca is now prioritising getting Fofana fit who could break down at anytime. Contrast with Mosquera at Arsenal; Arteta threw him in when Saliba was out and he had 4-5 other CBs including Rice who could partner Gabriel.

If he goes to Madrid, Arteta will slot him right next to Huljsen and have their CB partnership sorted for the next decade. He has already binned Alba and Rudiger.

Sanchez is bulletproof. There's a bigger chance we get rid of the directors and Maresca than him not being our number 1.

Not sure it is a good comparison. Mosquera is 21 but he has played over 6000 minutes in la liga

This. You can tell who will be sold.

At the end of last season, I knew that Madueke is a goner, Jackson is a maybe and probably Chalobah (Colwill injury pretty much stop this from happening).

Next season santos, Chalobah, Tosin (again all depend on Colwil, Fofana and anselmino/sarr/acheampong situation).

Tosin and Fofana are out until after the international break. Badiashile still injured for goodness knows how long (as if he’d even do well)

Going swimmingly well then. Hey. Least there’s next season.

This is being reported more and more seems it colud be true (fingers crossed) https://thehardtackle.com/news/2025/09/25/cole-palmer-wants-chelsea-to-sack-enzo-maresca/

It's just the same thing on repeat. Palmer doesn't even come across like a person demanding a manager to be sacked. This feels like gutter journalism. They sense all is not going well right now and have used Palmer being subbed off the other day as an excuse to spread bullsh*t.

Most of these injuries (not Fofanas) are due to the CWC and our short break and pre season. Started with Badiashile nd lavia at the cwc.

Should have sacrificed the first 3 games and given the players proper preparation. These injuries will just mount up as players are continued to be pushed.

I’ve been an annoying broken record about needing Guehi.

We couldn’t get him because tweedle dee and tweedle dumb couldn’t sell their catastrophic failures in Disasi and Badiashile.

But hey. 6 year extension 👍

Agree, it's obviously bullsh*t:

"There is no doubt that he [Maresca] has the quality to manage Chelsea and guide them to more trophies in future."

What on earth is maresca doing with these six taking up squad places, its utter madness, two or three at the most. No other team would put up with serial sick note merchants like this its insane, they arent all gonna get better.

Of course James is an exception a one legged Reece is better than most twolegged players. Colwill is also an exception imo,

but Maresca cant be saying that for all of them Fofana Badashile Lavia Essugo some of these aint coming back.

They only exist for back up but how can they be if they are injured ? hahahha

I don't believe that was the reason we failed to get Guehi. His wage demands would not fit our model. That is why we are not signing any experienced players. Instead, we will be after some unknown from S. America. Another Anselmino who will be added to the loan factory.

It was reported we had to sell a CB that played in the conference league last season for us to even register any new CB we brought in.

Disasi is immovable and Badiashile conveniently finds himself injured every transfer window.
