Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Featured Replies

I don't understand, How can Chelsea play so poorly? you guys have good players, but it seems like one area of the field doesn't communicate with the other.

The midfield doesn't communicate with the defense, so the defense, which doesn't have such good players, doesn't respond.

The attack is completely misaligned; it's incredible.

This is completely on the coach, Chelsea has too many skilled players to play with so little objectivity.

Just an observation, Chelsea's defense line is rubbish, this chalobah is scary bad, Cucurella is veryyy mid, and that James think he plays more than he knows.

We will never be a serious club with Maresca in charge.

He's sh*t. I had people getting at me for saying even the Forest win wasn't a good performance, and this is what happens when you play that way against a team that aren't a complete joke.

You could tell early on that the game today was going to cause problems. We've seen it so many times under Maresca and the goal at the end was inevitable. We should never have had these young players coached by somebody like Maresca. The amount of bad habits they have now picked up because of him are going to be hard to shake off. Get rid of him for a more progressive manager that doesn't shackle these players and has them going for it from first minute to the last minute.

And i agree, of course he is the problem.

Its a completely mess in the field, I've watched the whole game today and is clearly that every sector (attack, midfield and defense) don't communicate with each other, its very bad.

If we wait until the end of the season for his job review it's gonna be a waste of a year. He's improving none of the players and 18 months later we look as tactically clueless as we did in pre-season last season.

He's so clueless on how to change tactics, he can change individuals like for like but he can only play one way and if that doesn't work it ends up looking like today.

He has to go, Roman would have sacked this goon 5 or 6 times by now.

You probably know better than most how good A.Santos can be playing deeper, yet Maresca only ever plays him as a box crashing 10.

I can't think of a single player in the squad that he's profiled correctly.

Reece James isn't a CM.

E.Fernandez isn't a 10.

Palmer is a winger.

Gusto needs to overlap.

its endless.

If the board are even thinking about replacing him, then now is the time to do it. We could make a move for Iraola, or Fabregas before another club snaps them up. But almost certainly we will keep Maresca until the season is done, and then bring in another totally unproven manager. Most likely Rosenior from Strasbourg.

I don't trust the morons in charge of the club to sign a competent manager if they do sack Maresca.

Clearlake have well and truly killed the great club that Roman built.

Very true. Look at who the other candidates were when we hired Maresca.

Might be worth rolling the dice, I'd take Fabregas, Xavi or De Zerbi here in a heartbeat

Fabregas would be a madman to come here at this point, he’s got his final season with the wonder kid Nico Paz before Madrid take him back, and Como are in the European places + he’s a part-owner.

If we were to part ways with Maresca now, who do you think would be on the short list made by the SD's? I doubt it would be anybody we would be inspired by.

I'm not sure I want Fabregas. His football is almost identical to Maresca's from what I have seen.

He's just so amateur in everything he does.

10 changes again today. Managing players minutes is one thing, but when you are changing the entire squad after a game, you're not going to build chemistry. Some of those players that played against A**x should have started today. Gittens, Estevao, Lavia, they should have started and built on that momentum. But no, Maresca thinks he can just swap the entire team around and things will just work out. It never works out like that though, momentum matters more than most things in this game.

I'd go for Glasner at Palace, has plenty of top flight and champions league experience and plays a lovely style of football.

No way would the chuckle brothers recommend a progressive manager.

It's either Maresca or Rosinier.

The criteria is to manage the stock end of.

He isn't even the right manager to coach these young players.

2 of the things you associate with young footballers is fearless and exuberance.

This manager literally coaches these 2 attributes out of them and hopes for good moments from instead.

We'll only ever be a cup team at best with Maresca in charge.
