Enough of this nonsense and enough of isolating our wingers. We need James and Cucurella overlapping. The last thing I want to see is Cucurella creeping towards the box and taking up space that he has no idea what to do with. Ghosting into these areas when we are crossing is fine, but in our build up it just infuriates me.

I'm also sick of watching Neto, head down, trying to figure out some way past 2 defenders whilst James is 5 yards behind him waiting for a pass backwards. James should be looking to take a defender off Neto so Neto can run into some space and give himself a chance to actually create something.

We are abandoning some of the oldest and most lucrative tactics in the game because Maresca thinks he is some genius that can revolutionise the game by doing something no other coach would do. I'm sick of these types of coaches. 99% of the time they turn out to be complete failures at this level because they can't accept that what they're doing is stupid.

I blame Pep. He inspired a gazillion copycats who thought his ideas are the only way to move forward but forgot they did not possess his talent.

Still makes me laugh we couldn’t sign Semenyo, Simons or bring in Guehi due to the financial restrictions imposed on us because of the directors historically bad spending.

And they have the gull to walk in the dressing room at full time.

I'd simply say brittle through the middle and now we've been found out by a ball traditionaly known as long, over the top, direct or route one, also known as lump it, hoof it and have it.

I asked myself, are we better than 9th... Not really so sure, beat liverpool who are tragic comedy this season, lost to Sunderland at home. We are inconsistent, young sides are inconsistent, but I'm meh about it all as we have little to no identity. From early doors you just knew Sunderland were up for it and would get a result.

We need to score more goals and that is something we've not done well since Maresca implemented his system and we went from free-scoring ballers to boring ballers who sometimes score when Caicedo thunders one in.

Meh innit.

Only reason we aren’t bottom half is because we are among the most clinical in the league.

Our football is horrendous and it isn’t sustainable to simply rely on us being clinical in the limited chances we get.

1. You actually rate him

2. Not convinced but who to replace him with?

3. He deserves more time

4. You're Gusto or Enzo

Doubt there are many left. Though I do believe any replacement will not be good enough either as their priority is helping the psr spreadsheet con.

Another question would be "how many of us are happy for us to go on a multiple game losing streak in order for maresca to be sacked?"

As the Blueco have already made it clear, no review on maresca till the end of the season. I don't think our form, or us in mid table, will change that. now a 10 game, or more losing streak, that may just do it

Yep we are stuck with him all season he’s not going anywhere. We would have to not get a win in 10 for them to consider it.

I don't rate him, but I'm sure we will not get anyone better. The directors will almost certainly get some unknown inexperienced manager again.

There's also a very small part in me that thinks that despite the dire football, he did achieve his targets last season. Whether you thought top 4 and Conference were an over achievement or the bare minimum requirement, he still delivered.

I know the context of last season made it much easier to get top 4, but he still got us there.

If the policy of the club changes, I'd want him gone immediately. If it's to replace him with McKenna or Rosenior, then what's the point?

Dont think so, he has supposedly been told to go deep in the cups and make top 4, lose to wolves and Spurs and the pressures builds, it was reported the owners have looked at Ireola and Glasner and were seen speaking to De Zerbi, will they be prepared to wait until the end of the season if It means missing out on one of those, Bournemouth are second with an inferior squad, Palace manager in last year of contract and also have a weaker squad, i still think if results dont go our way he will be gone by Christmas

We had more shots on target and also more shots yet fell to a sucker punch, the first part of the counter in the 93rd min we blocked yet no-one followed the runner.

A point would of course have been frustrating yet a loss is disappointing,

So after 4 straight wins in all comps we crash.

I don't like seeing Arsenal have a cushion at the top and now even Utd are above us.

Like others do not see a managerial change yet unless form collapses for several matches and next in the league we have Spurs.

I actually agree about him delivering against expectations last season but I feel you can only ride that wave as long as you show either continued improvement or, at least, maintaining status quo. We are nowhere near status quo, we are getting worse and worse and watching teams like Bournemouth and Sunderland getting away from us.

I take your point about who the owners would look to replace him with as it certainly wouldn't be someone the fans would opt for.

Not really. We definitely can get someone better. Maresca is a new and young manager and it shows up big time with his rotation and sub.

The problem is, it won't matter. Let say we hire a good manager who is doing a good job. What is next? He has 0 control of his squad.

I can say the same thing for pretty much all our signing in the last 2/3 seasons.

Tosin is a very good signing. Is it because his player profile? Nope, he is PL level cb for free.
