December 31, 2025Dec 31 I think with the circus this is going to cause for the rest of the season it’s best he goes now. No matter what he says now that’s the only thing the media will focus on and it will cause a massive distraction

I get that there are issues at board level, but it should be the SDs AND Maresca going, not just the SDs. Maresca is clearly out of his depth and it's been showing for a while, he can do his talking on the pitch but instead of that we're treated to some of the most boring football I've seen us play and not even getting results to justify it.Personally i don't think that Maresca going is the concern. His football philosophy is anathema to entertainment. The bigger issue is that his going is another indication of the power of the brainless w*nkers running the club. He makes one comment and is a dead man walking. We all know it will be another patsy, like Rosenior, that will follow him. That is the main issue. We will never be right until this structure is torn up and proper professionals are in place.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 If there’s a war between Maresca and the board, I’m leaning towards Maresca. As much as I despise him, I despise more the board and SDs. If Maresca is sh*t, those up there are more guilty of where we are than he is, even though I feel that with a better coach we’d be in a better place. The Club’s policy towards match going fans and STs, and their business model are sh*t.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Next Chelsea manager odds🔹 Xavi: 6/1🔹 Liam Rosenior: 8/1🔹 Oliver Glasner: 8/1🔹 Unai Emery: 10/1🔹 Marco Silva: 10/1🔹 Cesc Fabregas: 12/1🔹 Andoni Iraola: 12/1🔹 Frank Lampard: 12/1🔹 Julian Nagelsmann: 16/1🔹 Antonio Conte: 16/1🔹 John Terry: 16/1
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Matt Law was on a podcast talking about Maresca’s comments saying that he cannot complain about his position and the conditions he’s working under. Apparently it was made very clear to him how things would work and the sporting structure. He even came out at the start with his “this squad is perfect”. I don’t have much sympathy. He also said Poch felt that he could try and change the structure or gain more influence through results.

So, what’s the point? I’d have Glassner and support him with players that are proven, not the Garnacho’s or Gittens’ that we’re going for.

He waited there until somebody came in , then darted forwards into the boot room, only to then reverse back once again into the dressing room before going all the way back to the physio room again.Should be coming out any time now....for sure!

December 31, 2025Dec 31 Yeah I think it's over, I'll be surprised if he's still our manager come the city game.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Author Sacking won’t have any satisfaction unless the directors leave with him.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Ok - I'm going to start by saying that if he is genuinely unwell, I wish him a speedy recovery. Now, where there is smoke there is fire. Its looking increasingly likely he is gone, or will be imminently. Interesting next choice - is it too soon/much for Fabregas and his magic hat? I'd love that - talk about a person that understands the pressures of being young at the top level (both playing and coaching). Edited December 31, 2025Dec 31 by PhilH930
December 31, 2025Dec 31 This is all on Maresca. If he disobeys the board and does his own formation, subs etc which brings in results then no one would question him. The board would have no leg to stand on. If he is actually listening to the board and the results are bad because of it, then he is a weak minded fool. Edited December 31, 2025Dec 31 by KonaKai Blue
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Way too many noise now so he’s definitely gone. That c**t Eghasshole will be the end of this club!!He is an egotistical arrogant venture capitalists who probably never get told no and always thinks he’s right even if he has no experience in the area he’s jumping into.

He clearly wanted a decent replacement for Colwill and didn't get one, and he wanted a replacement when Jackson left too. His comments at the time about being happy with the squad were clearly to placate the board, but the truth seems to be that he wasn't happy with the squad and that has started to unravel. Regardless his position at the club now looks unretrievable. As others have pointed out this reflects terribly on the board with a second manager in a row choosing to leave over differences. When you consider that several candidates turned down the job last time around due to the conditions of the deal (working with SD's etc) it makes you wonder who will be willing to take the job now?
