The Club’s policy towards match going fans and STs, and their business model are sh*t.

Matt Law was on a podcast talking about Maresca’s comments saying that he cannot complain about his position and the conditions he’s working under. Apparently it was made very clear to him how things would work and the sporting structure. He even came out at the start with his “this squad is perfect”. I don’t have much sympathy.

He also said Poch felt that he could try and change the structure or gain more influence through results.

They’re going to bring in Rosenior, but they are going to have another sh*t transfer window. So, what’s the point? I’d have Glassner and support him with players that are proven, not the Garnacho’s or Gittens’ that we’re going for.

With Maresca though, if you're going to publicly go to war with the hierarchy you've gotta have credit in the bank and the results to back it up and for me he's done nothing to put himself in a position of power. 1 win in 7 games and he's crying that the board are asking questions.

Yes, i heard that he had gone into the dressing room, then walked sideways into the gym, from there he went backwards into the physio room, then hopped back across to the dressing room. He waited there until somebody came in , then darted forwards into the boot room, only to then reverse back once again into the dressing room before going all the way back to the physio room again.

Should be coming out any time now....for sure!

You could be right. There is a video on the Chelsea Twitter account from a few hours ago with some (terrible) rapper rapping about our year and Maresca doesn't even feature in it.

Yeah I think it's over, I'll be surprised if he's still our manager come the city game.

Ok - I'm going to start by saying that if he is genuinely unwell, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Now, where there is smoke there is fire. Its looking increasingly likely he is gone, or will be imminently. Interesting next choice - is it too soon/much for Fabregas and his magic hat? I'd love that - talk about a person that understands the pressures of being young at the top level (both playing and coaching).

This is all on Maresca. If he disobeys the board and does his own formation, subs etc which brings in results then no one would question him. The board would have no leg to stand on. If he is actually listening to the board and the results are bad because of it, then he is a weak minded fool.

I think it was accepting the results of the last transfer window that ultimately led him to where he is now. He clearly wanted a decent replacement for Colwill and didn't get one, and he wanted a replacement when Jackson left too. His comments at the time about being happy with the squad were clearly to placate the board, but the truth seems to be that he wasn't happy with the squad and that has started to unravel.

Regardless his position at the club now looks unretrievable. As others have pointed out this reflects terribly on the board with a second manager in a row choosing to leave over differences. When you consider that several candidates turned down the job last time around due to the conditions of the deal (working with SD's etc) it makes you wonder who will be willing to take the job now?
