Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

One win in 7, and assume we lose to City.

That’s one win in a quarter of a season. One win. Let that sink in. That’s relegation form over a large sample.

He needs to go. We are regressing, and a better manager would get more out of this squad.

Saying that, this squad is not good enough.

The squad isn't good enough to compete for the league. But it is definitely better than the dross we're producing. We should be comfortably in the top 4.

He’s the actual definition of a PE teacher. Cares more about minutes and fitness than results.

His eye is always on the next game. The next game is the most important thing in the world until it actually kicks off. Then it is meaningless and the following game becomes the most important thing in the world.

An exercise in absurdity.

Especially if you look at the teams around us, Liverpool having a poor season, then there’s Villa and Man Utd… 100% we should be top 4 very comfortably.

If the owners really want to finish top 4 again this season, the only option is sack the manager.

I just dont get that.

At best we have two defenders who are top 4 quality, one cental midfielder and two attacking players. That simply isn't enough to say this is a top 4 comfortably squad.

I just can't see a way out of this mess. Sack Maresca, but it's the two clowns in charge of finding somebody new, and we know it's going to be somebody inexperienced, because no experienced coach wants this. Then that coach is tasked with somehow getting more out of mediocre to trash players like Neto, Delap, Garnacho, Enzo, Gusto, Gittens, etc. I just don't see how we fix this. Palmer and Estevao can only do so much and Estevao is only 18.

You’ve completely missed the point.

I was saying that the top 4 contenders aren’t really having great seasons, a better manager would have made sure we made it count against Villa the other day, and win tonight.

Purely looking at squads alone, I agree with you we aren’t quite top 4 material yet.

I agree. You could argue that 2 of our better players (Colwill and Lavia) have been out injured. If they were available our chances might be better. But this squad are shockingly lacking in quality given the amount spent.

I would agree with last seasons squad but other than Estevao and James back. It just looks like we’ve got weaker compared to last season especially with Palmer not at his best yet since injury. United and Villa have also got better compared to last season and Villa have a way better manager than us.

I thought Gusto was poor last season. He hasn't been the same player since Poch left.

I thought he was decent in the first half when we were flying high but yeah I do agree his regression started last season

But, even though we have a mindless twat in charge, there is no way our team is better than either of them. In fact Semenyo to Man Utd is a more sensible move for him than Man City.

Yes. I take that back. First part of last season he was decent. But I felt like we were still playing some of Poch's style the time. It took some time for Maresca to enforce the style he wanted and Gusto was one of the first players to suffer.

Gusto has only regressed because he is being asked to be a 10, a 9, an 8 and a winger.

I think he's still a very capable RB. Maresca is just throwing in every attacking position for some reason.

There is no way out of this mess unless the SDs also go we are f**ked for years to come with the clowns in charge.

So right now I just watch a game and then switch off completely.

But just think guys. Palmer will be fully rested for us to lose against City.

I wonder if Maresca thinks you get more points for winning certain games? He seems happy to throw away countless points against Newcastle and Bournemouth etc, in the faint hope of getting a win against City or Arsenal? I just don’t get his thinking.

Disagree on this. I'd say most of our squad is top 4 quality, they just aren't being coached to the max of their ability.
