Arsenal fully in control of second place now and I believe they have it fully secured.

Next 6 weeks will tell us if we can get top 4 or not. Drop down to 7/8 and top for will be a pipe dream

Don't think there is any way they can clear that squad without taking any PSR and FFP hits that will deepen them into way more trouble. They will very soon find themselves in the exact same situation that Newcastle is in now, having no chance of spending big without selling big first. This is why deep down I was hoping for Newcastle to have another bad season and miss out on UCL football, this way they'd have been 99% forced to sell both Isak and Guimaraes to comply with the rules if they were to make new signings. But that scenario now looks improbable, they will easily finish in top five. But if they somehow manage to f**k this up and miss on UCL football, then here you go, Chelsea have a clear path to one of the best strikers in the world that must sign. Once again, highly unlikely they miss out on top five.

At least Newcastle have some big assets they can move, but United? Not only it is a full squad of overrated and overpaied players, but some of them would mean a huge loss in the books if they were to be sold at a loss in the first three years of aquisition. Like Hojlund, Ugarte, De Ligt, Zirkzee, Mount and so on. If these players leave for even 10£ under for what they've been bought, it would mean a big hit in the financial books that they cannot afford. Simply put United are in a bigger sh*t that their fans can even imagine. Unable to spend like before and unable to move the dross. Chelsea to be able to get that much money on outgoings all these years does not get talked enough. The people at this club, no matter the Abramovich era or the Boehly & Clearlake one, are in a league of their own when it comes to selling players.

This move won’t happen; Utd, Arsenal & Liverpool would all be in for him and able to pay him £250k/w+, and we won’t pay those wages.

Thought Brentford at home were meant to be formidable. They're gifting Arsenal goals.

We broken them when we ended their run at thr Bridge. They lost the next home match to Forest, now this.

Is Saka injured??

I’m surprised the commentators haven’t mentioned…

Just keeping him relevant. Arsenal can replace him, just like we can replace any of our attackers not named Cole Palmer with ease.

Odegaard is the key, he is their Palmer, not Saka.

We got to remember Arteta is into about 5 years at Arsenal.

He's only won one  FA cup in all that time, and it was against us when anything that could go wrong DID go wrong for us. . Of course they are better than us, but Enzo is into only half a season with us so far..

Hopefully Arsenal don't win anything this season too, especially the Champions League.😂

Happy new year mate.

I reckon we finish between 6th and 8th.

Actually, how would we cope if we got CL football without the luxury of picking a completely different team each cup game as we are able to do in the Conference league? I'm not convinced that this PL first team could cope with both .

Waddya reckon AX ?

Not in our current state no. In order to offer a good challange in the CL, and make sure we make top 4, we would need more quality in depth.

I would say we need a left back cover for Cucu, a top RB with Gusto the cover player, 3 CBS to join Colwill, midfield is fine if we have Lesley and Santos along with Caicedo, Enzo and Lavia, a top left sided attacker, with either either Sancho, Felix or Mudryk the cover, other two sold. Estevao backed up bu Noni or Neto, other one sold. Paez backs up Palmer, maybe Felix kept for that as well as a floater who can play all 3 attacking positions.

Sign a new first choice striker. Jackson or Delap as back up.

Despite the sh*t seasons both Newcastle and City are having we now find ourselves amongst them in a Top 4 scrap.

Yup, Newcastle 3 off us and City 4, both of them with very winnable games coming up this weekend.

Diarrhoea FC go 1-0 up against Newcastle after three minutes - fantastic cross from Porro and a worthy header from our lad Solanke.

One of those uncomfortable games where it would be very much to our benefit if the sh*te were to get points...

Haha 1-1 already, although it will surely be chalked off as the counter attack was started by an obvious Joelinton handball. Chaotic already!

Boy Anthony Gordon is ugly

Nope it’s given

You want a winger in the summer, buy Gordon even though he is a Liverpool fan & wants that move. 11 goals & 10 assists in the league last season, currently on 5 goals & 4 assists. Will definitely hit double figures again.

Had a tough start to the season, maybe a Euro's hangover like most players suffered, but he has been really good in recent weeks.
