If I was a Villa fan, the two positions I would like to see improved on the most are the two fullback positions. Cash and Digne are good players, but they're a bit below the level they need to go up a level. I'm surprised Maatsen doesn't get any game time, there must be some serious problems with his game to be trusted in this league.

Probably a maturity thing. Both of them are experienced

Maatsen isn’t better than Digne I would take Digne over him. Digne is a better player which is why Maatsen can’t get any game. I liked Digne from his Everton days.

Like I said, he's a good player, but he's not top level. I regularly see Villa fans point at him and Cash as weak links, and I could see why today. If they had better fullbacks today, I feel like they could have beaten City comfortably.

Man City rebuilding is going for 30 year olds Kovacic and Gundogan.

We got a better future, their era is over.

It’s reminiscent to our 15/16 collapse. They need a complete rebuild.

I heard a rumour that to avoid an official points deduction City are throwing the equivalent games to receive the same outcome.

Genuinely wouldn’t suprise me never seen such a collapse in a team.

It's very strange that it's happening when they are waiting for punishment to be announced.

I can't see any sort of manipulation by them, but the collapse is extraordinary.

🤣

Well Newcastle are 3 up.

Forest lead at Brentford. Given Brentfords home for that is very impressive.

Perhaps they are this years Villa then after all?

By all account Forest are shutting Brentford out, they cannot break through Nunos low block. Problem for Frank.

I notice Liverpool and their media friends are referring to their "title challenge" - no mention of the 10 or 11 point lead that has disappeared 😂

I think we have put the fear of God into them, so much so that talk of the quadruple is a tad muted.

What Newcastle are showing us we have no excuse not to beat Ipswich.

Everton and Fulham are tough nuts to Crack though.

We beat those two and I will be affluent with praise and positivity for the team and Maresca.
