Need Maresca, some of the squad or even ex players to start bringing attention to Taylors record against us and put pressure on the FA to not have him doing our games again.

This is getting ridiculous.

Or give him the Clive Walker treatment and have a couple of fans run on to the pitch and go after him.

Yep.

As I said on another thread - Liverpool wouldn't put up with it. Managers would speak out. Clubs would issue statements and fans would be taking to the streets.

I hate the dippers - but they look after their own interests

Other than the ones in our team, 68 million French people loving that Enzo performance.

And I'm not buying the moaning about Taylor.  Not seen the Nkunku incident again yet but no way were the other two penalties.

Hook Enzo and Jackson.  It's painful watching them

First one was. Last season it would get overturned.

This season they are "going with the refs decision" which makes me wonder what the point is...

I think it's been easy for City.

They certainly aren’t at their best. Whether that’s due to them taking it easy or us doing a decent job of not letting them dominate is anybody’s guess.

I’d settle for a draw for sure.

As much as I don't want present day Jose coaching us, they'd be switching refs at half time if this happened on his watch.

I just started watching around the time of city's goal and I'm just glad we've looked competitive and the game isn't going as badly as I'd feared.

Jackson and Enzo are mostly stinking the place up, but otherwise we've played some good stuff and showed real signs of promise.

It'll be very interesting if Maresca has the balls to address the problems at half time that pretty much all of us can see.

Nor have I. And each one supported by VAR.  Imagine if it was true that there wasn't a global conspiracy against us...boggles the mind.

Should have had 2 pens. Their defender literally had his arms wrapped around Enzos leg. That is not allowed in the rules of the game, and therefore is a foul.

Also pushed The box hard in the back - again,  it allowed in the rules of the game. It is a foul - regardless of whether Enzos touch was heavy or not.

We are doing better than I thought we would. We absolutely have to expect disjointed football for a few weeks. It’s clear the way we’re going to play is a million miles away from Poch’s style.

It’s our owners that have created this mess and the manager and players are blameless. I think we’ll be absolutely fine this season but we have to give them time.

Support the team not the regime

At least we can see some patterns of play, even in our first game! It’s obvious we’re trying through-balls in tight spaces and diagonal, long passes to Nkunku.

Our defensive positioning needs a lot of work though.

Yeah to make the referees less incompetent but we all know they actually very incompetent

Have to agree to disagree. If either of those given against us I'd be livid.  The push in the back one would never be given by any ref.  By the time it happens Enzo's touch has taken the ball miles away from him.

Has he got anything wrong against us today though? I haven't seen any obvious errors.

No he hasn't. It's just the usual tired anti-Taylor trope.

Pushing in the back isn't allowed as per the rules of the game. It's a foul anywhere else on the pitch - and therefore, a foul in the box

The fact the ball has gone doesn't change it. A foul is a foul, on or off the ball.
