Vale turned down Saudi. Deal off. Maybe the allure of Bristol Rovers was too much.

I'm expecting them to shift Matos, and only Matos, and get ever so close to signing Osimhen having spent all day faffing around only to mis the deadline and for him to reluctantly pick up his kings ransom in Saudi.

I quite like what Guiu offers and he’s only 18, so he’ll learn from the mistakes he makes. I also liked when DD Fofana played for us (was it against West Ham that he played quite well?), so I’m content with them and Jackson as our choices until a proven quality striker become available. I think CB cover of quality is more important, to be honest.

Actually that might work in our favour!

He hates Saudi so much, one year was enough and he comes here on reduced wages. Never know bud. I still don't rate him as high as others though it seems. Lol

I dont either, but he’s the pick of the bunch in a poor market for strikers atm. 
«Reduced wages» for him after Saudi probably still means double or triple of what we can offer within our structure so I think its byebye Victor

Typical of these clowns to get this multi club model (that they have woefully failed at) the wrong way round by bringing these kids in and then bombing them back down. I thought the idea was to loan them out to the satellite club for them to progress before being promoted up to the PL side. The Chelsea model for Strasbourg seems to be more on this basis

Maybe he'll be a revelation in Ligue 1 ? I wish him luck anyway. 

Looked like he had decent movement and sense of positioning in the few minutes he had last season, albeit with the caveat of a big red flag from his relative lack of impact in PL2.

Fofana is training outside the group but I guess he can be part of it if we fail to sign a striker we want. Would still be a massive surprise.

I actually thought the management were doing the right thing by waiting later in the window to move players on. The latter window becomes a bit of a seller's market because clubs are desperate.

On the plus side, he's probably had some good feedback about life in Strasbourg from Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos, so it might well be a "dream" move of sorts LOL
