A lot of posturing around Lukaku for Osimhen and Sancho/ Sterling but Anjorin is still the only done deal so far. Harvey Vale to Saudi seems to be the next most reported. If there are any real designs on getting sales completed for Broja, Chalobah, Disasi, DD Fofana, Washington, Petrovic, Carney, Chilwell and Sterling then i reckon somebody is going to have to get a wiggle on. Chilwell and Chalobah in particular look impossible to shift ... Chilwell due to lack of interest from anyone (hardly surprising given his injury history and high wages), and Chalobah because he doesn't fancy any of the moves he's been offered ... and Petrovic apparently refused a loan to Strasbourg as well. All gone very quiet about Broja to Ipswich, and if anything is happening with Chukwuemeka, then it's being kept out of the media quite magnificently LOL
August 28, 20241 yr Author It's great watching that clown Darmesh Sheth going through the Sancho, Sterling and Osimhen deals as if this is exclusive breaking news, explaining it all to us. You're a week behind the rest of the country you mindless oaf.

August 29, 20241 yr Players we need to shift: - sterling, wacko, broja, disasi, mudryk, lukaku, baddy, casadei (loan), kepa, petrovic, washington, DDF, Players we should apologise to and reintegrate: - Trev (versatile and steady), chilly (our best left defender when fit), chukky (big, strong, high ceiling). Players we should buy: - Toney, Tomas Araujo (LCB)
August 29, 20241 yr Barely any outgoings. They are clearly struggling to shift players. We’ve simply got too many. There’s no need for Chilwell to be sidelined. Enzo, if you’re reading this - get on the training pitch and train him to how you want him to play. Don’t be lazy and just flog him.
August 29, 20241 yr Seems obvious to me that someone (potentially many) are going to draw the short straw here and be stuck after the windows closed. And Maresca confirmed yesterday there is no chance any of them gets back to the first-team so its an odd situation that the club could have handled much better.
August 29, 20241 yr Author Its an often used point but remains true that regardless of what an estimated valuation may be any commodity is only truly worth what purchasers are willing or able to pay. This should be something of a wake up call for some of our strategists who continue to stockpile kids We will struggle to sell these fantastic bright kids in the future for oodles of profit simply because there isn't a big enough market willing to pay big bucks. Let's park the Chilwell, Sterling, Lukaku and Kepa issues, there are still plenty of younger players in that listing above that there appears to have been virtually no interest in thus far

I don't believe any will be stuck, they will just end up on unfavorable loans as I predicted from the start.
August 29, 20241 yr The directors are doing a terrible job of squad management compared to our rivals. Even Utd have shifted most of their deadwood. The only players we sold for decent fees happened because we bought players back from villa and atletico. Crazy situation, feels like Potter season. Edited August 29, 20241 yr by Adamrb
August 29, 20241 yr I have a feeling most of the outgoings are waiting for dominos to fall. Maybe Osimhen and Sterling deals are the ones that need to tip over for most of the deals to happen.
August 29, 20241 yr Those concerned by the lack of movement would do well to consider the reality of the situation. Clubs know we want rid of these players. The longer they leave it, the stronger their negotiating position. No doubt there will be a few deals like appear to spring out of nowhere where really they're already being discussed. Sure, there is a chance some stay or some go on loan, but I can see a few deals that look impossible right now taking place before the end of tomorrow.

All 3 are good enough and even better than some of the players we have, but they are being forced out. It's a joke. I'm also not stupid enough to believe this is coming from Maresca either, it's the owners. I see absolutely no reason why Chalobah can't fit in our defence, he easily gets in ahead of Disasi and Badiashile. Chukwuemeka could have been a great option off the bench, and if we can keep him fit, I think he can be a really good footballer. As for Chilwell, I don't think he will ever be an inverted full back, but you can't rely on plan A and plan A only. There are going to be games where it doesn't work and we need somebody different there, and with Cucurella in the side, you know there are going to be days where he is completely out of it and is run ragged. Also, Gusto isn't exactly doing so great as an inverted full back right now either, he's a very similar type of full back to Chilwell. They both like to play as attacking full backs. So I call bullsh*t on Maresca saying Chilwell isn't the type of player he is looking for. He's not your type of player because the owners want rid, that's it.

I wonder if the club may be forced to consider re-integrating Chilwell and loaning Veiga?

I highly doubt that Maresca decided that he has no place for Chilwell etc. These announcements are based on what he is being driven to say by the Directors.

Of all the players being pushed out, I think Chilwell is the most genuine Meresca decision. Veiga is capable of playing multiple positions in Maresca's system, Chilwell is capable of none. Should certainly be an entertaining 36 hours or so, I can't wait for it to be done so we can push on. Although some windows may remain open so sales will still be possible.

I agree in rgds to trev and chucky but not so much chilly. Trev may yet stay if one or both disaster brothers leave. Chucky unfortunately won't get game time because there's a few ahead of him. Going on loan would be the best thing for him, for minutes then coming back next year. Unless nkunku and felix get injured that is then we may need to recall him, that's why I hope its not a sale but just a loan. Chilly...you're right he is a gusto type player more than an inverted wing back but gusto has the speed to get back if he played him inverted, chilly doesn't unfortunately. Personally though I'm not really upset about chilly going, even though there was a nice article today about him (I was angry afterwards but calmed down after just taking time to think logically). He's too slow for plan b or c (and whatever the inverted option is) and is really injury prone. If we can get a good price for him then I'd thank him for giving his all to the club and wish him a great time on the rest of his footballing journey. Hopefully veiga can step up as a second to cucu and tbh I really like what I've seen of him so far.

This might be said to just encourage them to look for a move. Two weeks after deadline if we have injuries I could see them being drafted in at least until the December window.
August 30, 20241 yr I hope Stewart and Winstanley are well rested today, as they now have less than 15 hours to sort out deals for Osimhen, Sancho, Chalobah, Broja, Disasi, Gabriel, Sterling, Chilwell, Petrovic, Carney, Casadei, Washington, Vale and Matos. Busy hours ahead!

Busy hours ahead! Osimhen is going Saudi 🤞 Sancho...I hope not coming. Broja... is staying for rehab so won't be registered. He needs his ankle sorted. Training and playing with development team when ready. Confirmed. Petrovic is at strasbourg. Confirmed. Vale gone to can't remember where but I haven't seen confirmation. So that's 4 maybe 5 off the list. Fingers and toes 🤞 for the rest.

Red Bold for sold ; Orange Bold for Loans. Petrovic has apparently now accepted a loan to Strasbourg but not confirmed yet. Broja now looking like Maresca's "new" striker LOL as his loan/obligation move to Ipswich is off 🙂
August 30, 20241 yr Broja won't be registered as he'll be on rehab. No one will buy him and we can't play him if his ankle is buggered. If he's fixed before January then I guess he will be up for sale then. If fixed after the window closes in january then he joins development squad till summer.
