No surprises in the team news

Chelsea starting XI: Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Nkunku, Sancho; Jackson

Chelsea substitutes: Jorgensen, Disasi, Tosin, Veiga, Lavia, Neto, Mudryk, Felix, Nkunku

Palmer ?

Consistency in the starting 11. Madueke is my only gripe, but I guess his defensive work rate is earning him a spot at the moment.

Expecting a very tough match today, but feeling optimistic. Come on!

A hat trick of 4-2's ... the Chelsea goals from Jackson, Palmer, Sancho and Fofana.

The Choas Ball Kings. We will be 2-0 down inside 16 minutes. Both goals conceded from set-pieces. Jackson misses 3 gilt edged chances and then buries one for 2-1. Forest give away an own goal early in the second half to make it 2-2. Mudryk is brought on for the injured Palmer and in 11 minutes of added time at the end, scores two to secure a 4-2 win and his own transfer to Tottenham.

I love Choas Ball. It's gonna happen again.

Nkunku got to be fed up

Well, he will get some time today. We are allowed 5 subs every game.  Which means Nkunku, Lavia, Mr.Felix and Neto. Players who would most likely start in most teams will get some playing time. The season is long and there will be injuries. The squad has some depth - which is a good thing. The team has some consistency at last. The starting line-up today (add James) is probably the best one we have available. Certainly the line-up the manager considers to be his best one atm.

The manager has to keep them from being 'fed up' as that is a large part of his job.

CHO and Sancho - a reunion for these blokes. BFF.  That will be interesting.

Noni has to be on his last chance today, been absolute dog since Wolves. Hoping he can prove us wrong.

Subs:  Subs are an important part of the game these days. 5 subs.  'openers' and 'closers'.

  • A. Disasi
  • João Félix
  • F. Jørgensen
  • R. Lavia
  • Pedro Neto
  • M. Mudryk
  • C. Nkunku
  • T. Adarabioyo
  • Renato Veiga
The real problem is keeping the players happy who did NOT even make the bench.  Casadei and Dewsberry-Hall.
