Xavi Simons

He is coming home!

He declined Bayern and Man City, wtf chance do Spurs have?! Unless we decide we don’t want him for whatever reason, he is ours.

This is Caicedo all over again with a team coming in last minute to try hijack. The kid has been waiting all summer for us.

To me this is more like the Kounde situation , agree personal terms early then keep the player waiting and waiting, he’s waited for weeks for us so if we sell Nkunku and use that money to bring in Garnarcho then I personally wouldn’t blame him for exploring other options with only a few days left.

In the end Kounde went to Barcelona because they followed up their interest with a proper bid first despite coming in late.

Players will go where they feel wanted and it is well documented that Winstanley priority is and has always been Garnarcho.

Spurs have the money and can keep upping the bid; couple that will being able to pay bigger wages, he is north London bound

I don’t even want him but this is almost like a trophy for that weird lot so would be nice to get it over the line to spite them. Defo going there now though.

We've been burned a lot by Bundesliga signings so there's always trepidation with signing from Germany. I can't say I've watched Simons at all apart from some extended clips on YouTube as most people do when there's interest in a certain player. It does seem odd how Spurs seem to have come in late again, though. If they were serious (not saying they aren't now, they likely are) then they should have been all over it a few weeks back. They did the same with Eze and lost out on him. If they were to get Simons, that's obviously good for them, but if they don't and miss out again, it will be another sh*tshow of a transfer failure from Levy and Co. They will probably press harder for Simons now given they missed out on Eze as they have to appease the Spurs fans at this point.

It’s a tug-of-war between the two London clubs to sign Xavi before September 1, and Tottenham appear to be winning that race.

Spurs will win the race - but only if we want them to win the race (after pushing that price up) - the real question is: who do Chelsea really want? Lopez or Simons?

It has been reported that Chelsea have long been interested in Xavi Simons - But it was reported that only ‘loose communications’ took place. Will Chelsea match or improve upon the offer submitted by Tottenham – which is near to Leipzig’s valuation of Xavi.

AC Milan reach agreement with Chelsea to sign Christopher Nkunku. Deal for 27yo forward €42m + sell-on clause to #CFC. Permission granted to travel & personal terms in place as France int’l closes in on #ACMilan move @TheAthleticFC post @FabrizioRomano

Why is there two tweets both different prices by the same guy?

Tottenham close to agreeing a deal to sign Xavi Simons following positive talks with RB Leipzig and player. But until transfer is confirmed there will be nervousness over Chelsea threat #thfc #cfc

Much rather we went for Semenyo than either of them. At least Semenyo is PL proven and is a bit of a unit.

Chelsea have to now be fast on Xavi Simons as Spurs and Xavi Simons are not far off agreeing personal terms and they are prepared to pay around €70m. (@JacobsBen) #CFC
