The media are w**kers though. When it's us spending that much money, and selling well at the same time, they almost never take notice of the players we have sold and just bring up the amount we have spent. You hear it during commentary of most games too, there is always some mention of how much money we have spent, even twats like Marco Silva do it when he was crying about the VAR decision. There are different rules for us it seems.

I understand what you're saying . But whether some of the transfer spending comes from outgoing transfers or from other income , it doesn't alter the amount we spend on players. .It actually became a laughing matter for everyone else as it made us a lot worse

Man U's revenue is in a different stratosphere to every other club and they don't have the same level of consequences for misspending. The current PSR framework affords some restraint, but under the incoming Squad Cost Ratio rules their spending power will burgeon.

I heard on the radio this morning Danny Murphy say Marc Guehi should have been more like Alexander Isak to force through his move to Liverpool.

When we buy players off Brighton the media are like “Brighton should stand their ground and stop selling to Chelsea” but when Crystal Palace keep their captain we have people like Murphy encouraging him to go on strike.

Everything is double standards when it comes to Liverpool.

Murphy is up there with Carragher with his anti-CFC bias. Can't stand either of them.

The Dippers failing to get Guehi was without doubt the best thing about transfer deadline day. They have spunked all that money on Isak, who fair enough, is a great striker but it was clearly their defence that was weak and needed strengthening. Huge admiration for Glasner and him threatening to leave if Palace sold Guehi - he's a great coach with strong principles too.

That's what gets overlooked. And makes Offshore Jim's bleating about going broke - hence sacking tea ladies, etc - all the more laughable.

Carragher and Murphy obviously feel pain and are hurting with all things Chelsea, long may it continue.

Hmm…am I correct in saying PSR is based on 3 year cycles, if so, this years spending will now be on the next 2 seasons, a net loss of 270m, minus the PL money (179m), so they will still be able to blow another 100m in Jan if they wanted

Dunno if the media ever said that about Brighton, simply because Brighton wanted us to spend tons of money on their players .
