Meh. Sam sh*tterface on Talksh*t was of the view that Chalobah deliberately slid his foot under Muniz's to engineer the situation.

I can only assume that, as a Chelsea fan, he was taking the piss with an insane take like that.

The number of pundits claiming there was no foul because there was no intent is just ridiculous. The vast majority of fouls are not intentional, and are genuine attempts to play the ball but they accidentally make contact and bring the player down. Intent is irrelevant. Some players accidentally trip a player when not putting in a challenge, and the foul is awarded. It's harsh but it happens all the time. Yes it was unlucky that Muniz trod on TC when he didn't intend to. Yes it was unfortunate for the 18-year-old whose debut goal was chalked off. But it wasn't actually wrong to award a foul when TC was taken out like that.

I can guarantee you he wasn't taking the urine. Went on and on about it. Chelsea fan, whatever, he's a dolt. Always has been.

We are in trouble now, the media, pundits, ex players from other clubs have made such an issue out of today’s match I can see Fulham getting an apology and refs denying us decisions unless it’s blatant until this all blows over.

And so it begins....

An apology to Fulham from Howard Webb and the removal of the VAR (Michael Saliisbury) in his next match which was meant to be Liverpool v Arsenal.

Next on the agenda operation "lets even the score and make sure Chelsea don't get anymore subjective decisions"

As far as I remember we've never had an apology or admission of a mistake when we've been hard done by, it's literally only an issue when we benifit from a mistake.

We're doomed, doomed I tells ya!

What I've noticed is that Chelsea fans in the media go out of thier way to prove they are not bias, way too much IMO to obviously appease thier bosses.

I actually thought Joe Cole was weak yesterday on TNT and clearly didn't want to be seen as a Chelsea bias pundit.

Other pundits don't care, think of Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and even Ian Wright (who I like as a pundit TBF), but when talking about thier clubs on TV they speak like fans with the same emotions as us fans.

Pundits who are Chelsea fans are either too weak or too scared of being replaced if they stick up for us.

Jose Mourinho was right all them years ago about Chelsea being represented in the media.

It's funny us getting decisions is it the hangover from the World Club Championship that refs suddenly like us and of course not being financed by a Russian billionaire, probalby not yet who knows.

Sill not sure on the first goal that was written off though definitely something occurred and then the defender puts his arm out to block a shot and we get the penalty. Nothing wrong about the penalty being awarded.

I think Silva is doing this just to deflect as this was a big match for Fulham fans and parts of the media like stirring the pot.

TWO DECISIONS GONE IN OUR FAVOUR IN 3 GAMES, ANYONE ELSE THINK WE AREN'T GETTING ANYTHING ELSE FOR A WHILE

Yeah, won’t be at all surprised if we don’t get anything else until the New Year!

I mean January 2026!!

That initial decision not to give a foul isn't a " clear and obvious" error . The ref shouldn't have been sent to the monitor and even then it took the ref ages looking at the monitor to overturn it.

A player getting injured doesn't mean he was fouled. Look at our goal that was allowed after the challenge on Pacqeta (?) at West Ham.

And how can it even be a " careless tackle" when the Fulham player didn't make a tackle anyway and actually had control of the ball ??

Did I read that it's now been deemed as a mistake to disallow the goal ?

That'll be the last decision we get !!

Referees chief Howard Webb has spoken to Fulham and declared the decision was an error.

He said the decision to rule out the goal did not reach the high bar of a VAR intervention as it was not a clear and obvious error by the referee and should have been a 'referees' call' instead.

PGMOL can’t even get their facts straight. It was the ref who disallowed the goal. He was asked to revisit his decision and he could have let the goal stand. We never see a ref disagree with VAR and unless they have the courage to do so we’ll continue to see piss poor officiating.

It's always the ref, expect for offsides and auto-goal system (when avail). I actually wonder whether a ref would have the power to simple go against the VAR decision on offsides too--prob his last game as a ref tho.

Reckon that PGMOL thought the greater error came from the VAR, which induced the ref error; they know, as we do, that the ref could've stuck with his original call, but VAR calls usually have a strong sway with refs.

Maresca shouldn't have stated he believed it was a foul (he's pretty much the only one); the loses credibility for when a decision does go against us in the future.

Howard Webb: PGMOL chief acknowledges 'misjudgement' over...

PGMOL chief Howard Webb says the decision to disallow Josh King's goal for Fulham in their defeat by Chelsea was a "misjudgement".

Couldnt find a VAR thread... Perhaps given its been one of our best players so far this season, we should start one? not just for Chelsea but us fans watch and see enough inconsistency in other games too...

Couldn't care less who called it, ref or VAR, it was such an obvious incorrect decision they should all be fired. Not going to put blinders on just cause it benefited us.

The reaction to that call was, as usual, massively overblown. I don't think it was a foul, but I don't think it was so bad that it warranted an entire football media meltdown over it in this country. Where was this anger when Bruno Fernandes won a penalty for fouling the Villa player? Where was the anger when Kovacic was sent off against Arsenal in the FA Cup final? Where was the anger when Sanchez scored the winning goal after a deliberate handball? Where was the reaction to Dowman winning a penalty for getting his foot trod on in similar fashion? I've seen worse decisions go in the Liverpool's favour and the likes of Carragher and Murphy don't have a word to say.

The outrage is fake, same as the whole "Costa Crimes" stuff from Sky when we played Liverpool. We know it's fake because these clowns are selective with it.

You’d think Chalobah faked or exaggerated a non contact foul by some of the reactions.

VAR’s explanation was genuinely how I perceived it. Chalobah was taken out by studs on his boot and was unable to have the opportunity to defend the goal.
