That should have been given as a goal. I can almost (he should have just played to the whistle, like every kid is taught) understand why it caused Delap's brain to grind to a hault, but that really was such a slow-witted reaction.

I never understood what people saw in him. He was crap for Ipswich last season. No better than the majority of their other players. It can be argued that he isn't even Premier League standard.

I think I saw him as a “brute” / Costa sort of player. I thought we need a dog up top. Unfortunately the difference between Costa and Delap is rather large.
