As a resident of a £5m Chelsea townhouse, I disagree with John Terry. I felt Sunderland were by far the better team on this outing, and perhaps their ascendance has been under priced. I felt we were very much outclassed and perhaps, although he is the very persona of our club in terms of his many storied opinions, attitudes and behaviours, (of which I have little occasion to criticise as I'm very much one to support Rupert Lowe etc.) he might in fact be wrong this time.

Couldn't watch the match due to family obligations. The result has me hesitant to read through the 10 or so pages of match comments 🫣

Such a disappointment watching this absolute shower of sh*te this afternoon. More fool me I suppose given the number of times that's been the case this season.

Was reading an old program as I do to when not at a game and watching on TV to fill in the time between adverts and boring chat and saw a few names on the team sheet such as Gary Chivers, Mickey Nutton, Peter Rhodes Brown etc etc , honest lads who were probably way out of their depth but all we had to turn to. Whatever their lack of football ability could never fault their effort or commitment and ,even those guys, put some of our present players to shame in fact can safely say that I connected more with the players at that dark time than some of todays absolute wnkers.

Cucurella for me today was just abhorrent, jogging back (when he could be bothered) to, and I use the words very loosely, "Chase" back his man.

Then that moment late in the game when we won the ball back progressing into a dangerous position deep inside the final third down their left and Cucurella running up inside in support chooses to drag the defender back rather than the easier option of putting in some effort and running around him.

Apologies to my wife and kids for being in such a foul mood tonight. Just so glad the seasons over.

Not sure what the new manager made of that utter shambles of a performance.

Transfer window is going to be interesting. It’s going to be difficult to get rid of so much deadwood.

That’s simply a pathetic run of results from a group that should be professionals. They should be embarrassed by that, but I’m not convinced they care at all.

reality is we are on relegation form, and it’s been that way for quite some time.

Aye as I posted In the general section 1 win, 1 draw and 7 losses.

Perhaps that was their way of protesting against BlueCo, but I think is more likely they just stopped caring.

I made the better decision still of attending family BBQ and not wasting one second watching any of that sh*t. Kept my eye on the scores and TBH, was more interested in whether West Ham or Spurs were going down and was not at all surprised to see our lot fold to yet another embarrassing defeat, which just summed up the whole season.

As others have said, there is hardly one player you can currently warm to. No characters, no leaders, no real quality and the majority of them pretty damn unlikeable.

Alonso certainly has his work cut out and he is going to earn every penny to turn us into a half decent side again. I hope he isn't going on holiday and has already started working out who is worth persevering with next season (not too many) and who we can possibly bring in.

Very true. Might even be a squatter.

It's scary to see that we only finished 13 points above West Ham! As mentioned previously, our form since Christmas has been of the relegation variety. We are in a downwards spiral for sure.
