I think you mean Belletti and not Paulo.

Joey and Ballack both need replacing, no doubt about that, so expect something happening there, Schweinsteiger and Pato? Toure and Aguero? Who knows.

Im sure for the type of players we are seeking that their clubs will hold out until after the WC in the hopes they can squeeze a few extra milliion. Also as these players will likely be integral to their national teams @ the WC, Im sure they are under strict orders not to mess about with club transfers until after the WC by their national managers.

By the looks of it, I'm starting to believe that the rumors about Srna are true when you consider that we just shipped three of our players that either play on the right or could play on the right. And if we are to sign either Aguero and Schweinsteiger, we will only know after the WC. I hope we only bring two players in, and the rest will be covered by the youth, but we have an exciting summer in prospect.

We get this every year. Yet again the season finishes and people are having a moan because we havent signed someone for 40 million within the first few weeks. Why the rush ?

Buck was asking for trouble when he came out with that 'marquee signing' quote and for what seems like the umpteenth transfer window running i just cant help but feel some peoples expectations are too high and are many in for a disappointing Summer.

I think we still have a strong enough squad to win prem again maybe even the champo league people are forgetting we had our THIRD choice keeper in goal against inter and only lost 1-0 so its still possible. i think a few young signings would be good, maybe one superstar but not 2. We've wasted money on too many players who have ben poor at chelsea like Shevchenko for instance.

It makes me think that Carlo meant what he said that 5 players will be brought in from the youth team.

That too, but right now for CM we have Mikel/Essien/Lampard, Matic (one of the five, I think?), Malouda in a pinch (though he's a starter at a different position), and . . . that's it. So even with the incoming youth we still have plenty of room for another central midfielder.

The speed with which we're doing the clearout suggests that we're confident of being able to land however many incoming signings we're after - Ballack in particular we could easily have kept if we weren't pretty certain of a replacement - so I'd expect to see something fairly soon once our targets get eliminated from the World Cup.

The clearout isn't that fast. The players that are going are out of contract. We have just said we won't be renewing.

I think that we will see one "Big" "World Class" "Marquee" signing, and then maybe one other solid signing. I think someone like Hamsik, or Dzagoev, Srna, Schweinsteiger, VDV would fall in the latter, while Aguerro or Pato would be the "Big" one. After that, look for the 5 youth team players to make the step.

Seriously, if we did that, I'd be very happy, and I don't think that's asking for too much.

I think we need to make three signings. Aguero (just to put an end to that thread), a creative midfielder (I'd love Silva, or Gourcuff if he performs in the world cup), and the biggest signing of all, Own Goal from Man Utd.

With those three, and some promotions from the youth side, I can see us having a good chance of bettering this season's haul.

Own Goal would be 100m at lest, we'd be better off going for Rooney. Maybe we should send a scout for fergie time?

Can't see anyone signing any players now the WC is on, if players have good or great WC then the price will rise dramatically...mind you any of the players playing in the WC will be deaf anyway! Those fu**ing horns are driving me crazy.....what's worse the Swiss cow bells or the SA horns?
