Malouda for me although it could have easily been Essien or Ashley also

Ashley Cole for me, for his hard work and sheer athleticism down the flank - always a threat to the opposition

Ashley Cole, although Drogba, Malouda and Essien would all have been perfectly worthy.

Ashley Cole for me as well. Drogba had a fine game in terms of creating chances but his shooting boots were unusually absent. Essien and Malouda both had excellent games as well.

Malouda he was awesome, Ashley Cole a very close second, followed by Essien then Ramires

I chose Drogba. I thought it was a mature, inspired performance by the fill in captain. He seemed just as happy to try and set up chances as he was to try and convert them. Very refreshing.

Could have easily chose Malouda, Essien or Cole though.

Myriad of excellent performances and could have been 5 or 6 players. I know on a day of superb performances this may seem a little strange, but I voted for Petr Cech.

Today would have been an easy day for him to clock off and maybe for us to concde a cheap goal. Nope, he made two absolute screamers of saves, dominated the area and marshalled the defence in the absence of Terry particularly when Blackpool started to have a go.

Goalkeepers never get any credit around here, and maybe because it's 4AM, I feel I'll wave the flag for him, so Cech for me, but plenty were deserving as others have said.

Ashley was superb , god knows what we'd do if we lost him. CLASS.

Drogba on another day could have hit 4 , great display from the big man.

Ashley for me, he worked tirelessly with a great display of attacking wing play, and superb in defence as well, he was blowing hard just before halftime though.

Has to be Ashley. He should have capped off another magnificent performance by scoring himself, but just as well - he was our most consistent player even when we took our foot off the pedal.

Ash for me as he ran his socks off. Mention also to big Petr who made two great saves.

For me Ashley Cole was outstanding.

Credit too to all the midfield and Malouda. Good to see Ramires settling in so well. It usually takes time for foreigners to adapt to the premiership but Ramires has made a good start.

I thought Ramires had a good game so i voted for him.

Ancelotti should have brought on Kakuta just for the last 15, 20 minutes

Ashley Cole, looks like a winger and was dangerous for all the first half, Malouda, Drogba and Essien all had good games as well.

Cech was always alert and that should put the memory of his little flap in the CL out of his mind..if he gave it a second thought.

Went for Malouda, even though there was plenty of other players doing a great job (essien, a.cole, drogba etc). Just love malouda at the moment and 2 goals sums it up.

Ancelotti should have brought on Kakuta just for the last 15, 20 minutes

I expect Kakuta will play a major role in the mid-wek Newcastle game, so maybe was being saved for that.

drogba for me he ran the show and if he was on the end of some of his passes it would be 10 lol

Malouda for me, the guy was ridiculously good in the first half. Like the rest of his mates, he slowed down a little in the second half but everytime he touched the ball people can smell the danger. Essien, Cole were great too. Ramiers looked like Essien 3-4 years ago. Drogba score his goal and did his assist, in about 2nd gear all 90 minutes, could be saving for a big game against City.

Ashley for me. I don't think I could argue with anyone that wants to pick Malouda, Drogba, or Essien though.
