We pay through the nose because clubs know we will pay it. So long as we continue to pay out ludicrous fee's for players they will keep doing it.

I saw all the games in the US tour and i would say based on the performance Conte might be inclined to sell rather than keep Oscar, We will see..

I'd sell him to either inter or juve,as they are the most likely to pay good money,unless ofc a huge bid from china pops up.

Chalobah has looked very competent in the pre-season games, I don't expect a big season for the first year with Conte but there is a lot of options in the youth squad for him to consider.

 

I'm more hyped for the year after If we can get Andreas Christensen back and maybe do something with Musonda.

Does anyone know if that Brazilian Bernard who plays for Shakhtar is a left back or a left winger?  I swear I've seen him play at the back but perhaps not.  Quite liked him when I've seen him play and could be an option, no one seems to be making noise about him either.  Shakhtar usually sell.

Looking at the transfer of Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool,... they seem to be doing some serious bulking up. Batshuayi and Kante are great purchases, but honestly we need much more than that... The entire defence minus Azpi needs an overhaul.

just getting kante was a fantastic acquisition, and i would say trumps what any other club has done barring maybe city. utd have bought an unknown and unproven bunch of players in the premier league, and similar to city, but we have a player who has proved he can boss the midfield in this league against majority of prem opposition. if he continues that form (fingers crossed) next season then it will prove an incredible signing.

He is like 5ft4, too dainty for the PL wouldn't want him I'd have wanted Alex Teixeira If we were to get anyone from Shakhtar but that moment has passed.

I don't think Ibra and Mkhitaryan are unproven or unheard of. Bailly is fairly unproven but as was Zouma when we bought him and look how he's done..

All together in think they've had a great window so far.

the thing is, City already has pretty much a complete team and quite a depth even before this transfer window

us on the other hand, until now still hasn't sorted out our backline yet
