I think I know the reason but it certainly isn't footballing.

Moses is more suited to our squad and we have much better options than Mane.

I will also prefer Blind because he is versatile. I desperately want us to get a LB before the season starts so Ivanovic will never be considered an option at RB.

He was also part of Germanys defence and they aren't a bad side.

 

Behind Hummels and Boateng and Germany's defence is pretty average to be honest. They haven't defended well for some time now.

And i'm only writing this because he has pics of both Conte and Mahrez which confirms it.

Why would he be checking in on a Monday night when the game was on Sunday though? Just seems a bit strange to me..

To be honest, I wasn't expecting us to have such a quiet window (bar Kante and Michy). One side of me says that Conte wanted to evaluate the squad and give everyone a chance before dipping into the market but look at Pep and Jose... I just can't help but feel we've been left behind again this window.

 

We still have (in my opinion) 2 key areas that need addressing at left back with Baba moving on (much prefer Dave on the right) and it has been quite evident this pre-season that Terry + Cahill isn't going to cut it so I would have thought we'd go all out for a CB. Maybe I'm being paranoid after the disaster that is last season but our squad depth is little in comparison to both City and Utd at the moment. Suppose the only thing we have over those 2 clubs is that we're not playing in any Euro games this season... 4 days until the season starts, hopefully we announce a signing or better yet.. some signings soon...

 

Reading over this it probably didn't help that Conte was away for the Euros with Italy and joined a little later... maybe I'm being a little harsh, I don't even know anymore
