And Milik has had 0, hence the more proven. Better finisher? Nope Link up play? Not sure but he has less assists in an easier league

The Serie A is a much more difficult league for an attacker than Bundesliga.
May 30, 20197 yr Ability wise, there is a solid argument that Jovic is better right now. Throw in the fact that he's 5 years younger, would be similar cost-wise, and we wouldn't have to deal with ADL, I think it's a no brainer that you take Jovic over Milik.

Not to knock on Serie A but the strikers we've bought from/played predominantly in Serie A have been underwhelming to say the least.

Whilst true, it's also because other factors are at play as well eg. Salah has teammates now who is as dangerous as he is in the final third and Ronaldo basically had to carry the squad because the tactics at Juve were basically give Ronaldo the ball and hope for magic. So agree to disagree?

This is one of the reasons i think Sarri won't go to Juventus. Imagine trying to coach Ronaldo into a complete new brand of football, that doesn't fit his play style, whilst entering his decline. His ego and price tag would make him undroppable too.

Can't say for sure. Despite his persona, I never heard of Ronaldo undermining any of his managers and normally just follow the instructions given. This one is a coin toss. Could go either way

June 1, 20197 yr We can still take players on loan apparently so what we should be looking at is who is out there that is top class but out of favour, bale comes to mind. If we can take a couple of players off the big clubs who are so stacked that even top players lose their place we would do fine.

We have a ban on registering players, if we loan a player they would have to be registered with us to play. Players like kovacic and higuian could stay because they are already registered, loan players could come back because we already own them. But other than that, we have what we have. We cant even sign players and send them out on loan, because they would have to be registered with us first.

Not sure if this should be read “Chelsea can still sign NEW players on loan” or “Chelsea can sign EXISTING players that are on loan” but if you read on in that article it says we can extend Higuains loan but not sign him so the language indicates we can sign players on loan we just can’t buy players. I’m reading that as we can only extend the loans for Higuain and Kovacic but cannot sign them permanently or sign anyone else on loan

It would make things far easier if we can but like @big blue said the issue isn’t with registering players. We aren’t actually banned from buying players at all, we can buy who we like, we just can’t register them. I’m not sure how registration works with loan players and if there is a loophole but it seems logical we would have to register them.

It would make a transfer ban completely redundant since we could just a loan a player for 12 months and agree a price at the end of the loan. There hasnt been much clarity on kovacic or higuian, out of the two, higuian seems the most likely one we could keep, since tbere was already a clause in his contract thst allowed us to extend it. Whether we would is another story. Kovacic is slightly different, because it is unclear what the details of his initial loan were, and ive read conflicting reports about whether or not we could sign him. It is 100% though that we cant loan a new player though.
