Sunderland are in talks with Chelsea to sign Marc Guiu

The 19-year-old is available on loan and Sunderland have made an approach to the Blues.

No, you wouldn't.

I absolutely would, if we could get 60/70/80 mil for Jackson we should snap their hand off. If Broja is happy with the role of third choice striker I'm happy to bin off Jackson.

Broja looked absolute sh*t at Fulham and Everton. Bloke is finished unfortunately.

If there is anyone deserving of that third spot that wouldn't be absolute turd, its Guiu.

Guiu needs stretching and that won’t come about from the bench or in say the FA Cup and or the EFL cup.

A loan at a club where he probably be a starter would be much better for him

Broja has had a terrible run of injuries. Not sure he is finished but certainly not going to be a top PL player

I think he should go, needs the game time. Much better for his progression than bits and pieces here.

Or the shop window depending on what the SD ‘s have in mind.

Is Broja even PL standard?

No.

At best i can see him ending up at a mid or lower Championship side, or possibly even Scotland, maybe Rangers for Russell Martin. Before any of that though he needs to prove he can get and stay fit for a prolonged period. Until that happens, i kind of agree that he is cooked.

Unfortunately Broja is total dogsh*t. He had a couple of promising games as a youngster, had a month or 2 of good form at Southampton years ago, and scored off his shin for us against Fulham. These are his career highlights.

Other than that he's been chewed up by serious injuries and looks absolutely nowhere near a Premier League player. Also seems completely bereft of confidence, which is understandable.

Sell him to the Dutch league for £7m and a hefty sell on clause, just in case.

Donnarumma available….

Donnarumma doesn't have the technical qualities Maresca wants from a GK 😭😭😭😭

serious CB van Hecke is.

Would be a dream target for me. Him or Nathan Collins.

Newcastle are more heavily linked, would be an incredible get for them. Sven Botman is a crook and can't stay fit. Schar has been a tremendous foot soldier for them but is starting to show age.

Also not sure Hecke and JPedro are on the best terms. Pedro got suspended before the season was up at Brighton for choking JPVH similar to what Luis Enrique did (when is that thug manager getting suspended?).

For 40 million though, I hope we swoop in. Genius CB, elite ball player and fantastic positionally. Would take us up a level.

Chelsea are ready to offer both Nicolas Jackson and Tosin Adarabioyo to Aston Villa in exchange for midfielder Morgan Rogers, per National World. The Blues are ready to offer money alongside the two players.

Meanwhile, The i Paper claims Newcastle are in talks with Chelsea over Jackson, who the Blues value at £65 million ($87.4 million).

Borussia Dortmund are the latest side to ask about signing Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, Simon Phillips reports. Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport states Inter have turned down the chance to move for the Frenchman.

Seems Broja is off to Burnley.

Can’t believe input but the fee is suggested to be toward the €25 million sum set by the club

I have only seen Younes say if we could get that, but if its genuinely being reported as that that's up there with Madueke's fee. That would be stonking for a player with that injury record and so few decent performances under his belt

Was listening to Matt Law on the London is Blue Podcast. Always a good listen.

Can’t recall every name but suggestion is that still 10 players to be moved on and the fact that more than likely that that will be achieved.

Several clubs were in for Broja ( see my earlier post). Jackson’s transfer value is solid as will clubs be looking at him . Put simply there aren’t a lot of decent forwards available. We grave two Jackson and Nunku, well three if you include Broja.

Some interesting thoughts around Sarr going back on loan and far from lack of squad planning it appears that 1) They wanted him at the CWC and couldn’t do it unless he was a Chelsea player2) They are trying to navigate related party issues and the fee , irate is believed, will be acceptable to UEFA but the trajectory of the players improvement suggests in 12 months his worth will be way higher

Law focused on how many clubs still haven’t done any business and in particular Spurs who still hadn’t sold a senior player.

Expect a lot of business still as clubs have kept their powder dry hoping for bargains and now need to force open their wallets

In a way the lack of strikers helps our case.

I was thinking it would be a fee akin to the CHO numbers but I agree if we get north of £20 million it will be a very decent bit of business by our ‘ diabolical directors”

Grave is a bit harsh, sleeping maybe.

Probably the 10 we have left that were out on loan last season :

Gilchrist ; Chilwell ; Disasi ; Veiga ; Ugochukwu ; Sterling ; Chukwuemeka ; Broja ; Washington ; D.Fofana,

That would still leave 30 in the first team squad (as per club website but with Estevao instead of Guiu, and also includes Mudryk), so we probably need to lose at least 5 of those to fit to what Maresca wants in terms of numbers to coach. I reckon Anselmino and Kellyman (if fit) leave on loan, and Dewsbury-Hall, Jackson and Nkunku leave as sales. Then if we bring anyone else in, it will probably be on a 1 in 1 out basis. e.g. if we sign Simons, then I expect George is off on loan.
