Probably the 10 we have left that were out on loan last season :

Gilchrist ; Chilwell ; Disasi ; Veiga ; Ugochukwu ; Sterling ; Chukwuemeka ; Broja ; Washington ; D.Fofana,

That would still leave 30 in the first team squad (as per club website but with Estevao instead of Guiu, and also includes Mudryk), so we probably need to lose at least 5 of those to fit to what Maresca wants in terms of numbers to coach. I reckon Anselmino and Kellyman (if fit) leave on loan, and Dewsbury-Hall, Jackson and Nkunku leave as sales. Then if we bring anyone else in, it will probably be on a 1 in 1 out basis. e.g. if we sign Simons, then I expect George is off on loan.

Badiashille not on that list for sale? sadwalk

Inter have held talks with Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, L’Équipe notes, but Blues manager Enzo Maresca is not desperate to sell the France international after being impressed by his form in recent months.

Real Madrid want to hijack Barcelona’s move for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, according to E-Notícies, amid concerns over whether Endrick and Gonzalo García are ready for significant senior roles

Newcastle United are now thought to consider Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson a “serious target” to boost their depth in the No. 9 role.

The Magpies look set to miss out on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško, who is edging closer to joining Manchester United instead. The Slovenian has been reported as wanting to sign with the Red Devils in a deal starting at £65 million ($86.6 million), leaving Newcastle to reassess and look elsewhere.

Jackson—who is thought to be viewed by many clubs as a “solid”, if not outstanding, option—had been speculatively linked with Manchester United until Šeško emerged as their priority target, having also briefly considered Ollie Watkins. Newcastle now pick up that baton, according to The Telegraph.

The idea at Newcastle, despite ongoing Liverpool interest in Alexander Isak and the Swedish striker informing the club of his desire to explore a transfer, is for a new recruit—like Jackson—to complement and support Isak, rather than replace him

That was the intention when Hugo Ekitiké—now at Liverpool—was being pursued, and it hasn’t changed. But after missing Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia and training alone in Spain, officially under the label of managing injury recovery, Isak has returned to Tyneside only to be forced into isolation on home soil while the ongoing is resolved.

Jackson is thought to be available in what remains of the summer transfer window, having seen his starting place at Chelsea from last season come under serious threat from the recent arrivals of Liam Delap and João Pedro in west London. He is potentially now third choice for boss Enzo Maresca.

Earlier this summer, Chelsea were thought to be valuing Jackson at £80–100 million ($106.6–133.2 million). Realistically, any fee would likely be in similar territory to the £60 million ($79.9 million) deal that took Pedro to Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion. Even at the lower price, the Blues stand to make a huge profit on a player signed for little over half that amount only two years ago.

In two seasons as a Chelsea player, Jackson has scored 30 goals in all competitions—24 of which have been in 65 Premier League appearances. He first emerged at Villarreal and a few short months before joining Chelsea was a failed medical away from becoming a Bournemouth player.

Sterling of interest to three Premier League clubs

Raheem Sterling is believed to have caught the interest of three Premier League sides, according to the Daily Mail.

Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham are said to be the interested teams.

With us still funding over half his wages.

Not so sure. Of course it depends what any of those interested clubs offer in terms of contract length and of course what sort of pay off he will get if he agrees to a permanent transfer . Add to that there probably will need to be a one off settlement

We are going to take a hit no matter what and this point in time the numbers could potentially align to make it attractive to him to move on

The second worst signing ever at this point. Even Kepa had his use.

Despite our fondness for the guy, this one has to be up there . Not Sutton level maybe but 4 goals in 48 games for a total loss of about 1.5m, in 1994!

Not really ... he scored a goal every 4 appearances for us and was an important role model and mentor behind the scenes.

He might be a frustrating player, and not have been great value for the wages, but he is a county mile away from being on our worst signings list.

Funny how at the RedCafe, the Sesko thread has over 250 pages.

If you split it into three parts of 70-80 pages, the first part he is not good enough, too raw, not even a 30M player, what's he even done to be considered a top striker.

The second part is when Chelsea and Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in him. Sesko then becomes even worse, according to those at RedCafe. A fraud and never worth the money. The general consensous was that Arsenal should get him, so that United have a free ride at Gyokeres.

And for the last part, now that they are close to get Sesko, he has turned into this top prospect, top player and one of the best strikers in the world and looking at Gyokeres pre-season so far, they are thankful for dogging that bullet.

I think even raheem himself will be bitterly disappointed with his lack of contribution whilst here and on loan.

Maybe time to accelerate interest in Antonio Silva. We can't depend on Fofana, and terrible news about Levi. We need more quality at the back, despite how well Trev and Tosin played.

Who knows though, maybe Hato and Josh become mainstays

I think we should just get in Guehi

Knows the club, is a good leader, experienced - above average player - in the league

Too much is being made of that imo. FA Cup final he was winning battles against Haaland.

He’s not a dominate force in the air but has other qualities to make up for it. He has a better aerial win % than Ruben Dias yet the later isn’t seen as a liability.

Dias is too short. 7 ft minimum.

Re Nico Jackson........The Magpies are joined by Chelsea’s fierce London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in making contact with the striker, per Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs are thought to only be interested in pursuing Jackson should Richarlison, Dominic Solanke’s backup, leave this summer.

If we have to do business with the Spuds, I'd go 30M + Van de ven. Or else it's 90M minimum
