Injuries haven't helped and he's making more mistakes. Possibly related to VVD not being what he once was.

Not saying they will move for him, but they would be foolish not to do so and upgrade.Arsenal want a ball playing goalkeeper though, it's the reason why they signed Reya. Donnarumma isn't that. Newcastle aren't going to be interested after signing Ramsdale, even if Donnarumma is the better goalkeeper.

Seems Donnarumma has agreed a deal with City which is bizarre considering they just bought James Trafford for £27m from Burnley, which was a weird deal but they apparently saw him as their long term No 1. If that goes through they now need to get rid of both Ortega and Ederson before the window closes. The Ederson situation is nuts because he is the perfect Pep goalie, and apparently wants out because he does feel valued wage wise. Now signing Donnarumma who is poor with his feet and on ridiculous wages makes no sense. Most of City’s signings since the Halaand signing have made little sense, and makes you wonder if Pep is losing his mind.

Valdes, Neuer, Ederson. Donnarumma ain't bad, but he's not great either. It's often been said that City often make signings to stop their rivals strengthening too, maybe this is another one of those cases.

He apparently has had a contract offer on the table since last summer but hasn’t signed it. He is now entering the last 12mths of his contract. Galatasaray are offering £7m which is laughable, but City want £13m.

Donnarumma is only 26, so he could potentially block Penders route into the first team. There is also the issue of PSR. We've made a lot of sales, but that covers the signings we have currently made and the UEFA charge. We are struggling to get Simons and Garnacho over the line. I just think his availability has come at the wrong time. Edited August 13, 2025Aug 13 by Scott Harris

August 13, 2025Aug 13 Was listening to Tim Vickery earlier and it would appear that we are definitely after the Leverkusen CB Piero Hincapie.Vickery rates him highly and he’s normally spot on. 23 years old and 50 or so caps for Ecuador. £30 odd million.

Know absolutely nothing about this Hincapie kid mind and he seems a bit too old for us.

This is getting out of hand.

If we are going to go for a small CB I'd rather we went for a PL established one like Murillo.Ideally I would prefer somebody 1.90m or above. There is just not enough height in this team atm.
