Like I said in the sterling thread, why is this suddenly a problem after clubs have openly admitted to doing the exact same thing over the years?

Upamecano and Konate will be free agent this summer. If we are really serious in term of competing for title, we should go for either of these two.

Can’t see it. Both players want to go Madrid to partner Huljsen, and whoever doesn’t end up there will have Barca as an option.

Have thought Konate looks a bit suspect this season to be honest - can see why they want Guehi (who we would be better off going for).

Upamecano always had a bozo moment in him too.

Rather we go for Antonio Silva or Thomas Araujo from Benfica.

Konate has been extremely suspect this season. Looked the goods a season or so ago. Injuries haven't helped but I suspect VVD's decline is a contributing factor along with the less-than-stellar new RB and LB.

I watched pool twice and their balance this season has been off.

And this will always be the case with cb and why they are quite hard to asses. The more exposed you are the worse you play.

Even amortising, Barca run into La Liga's cost control barriers. A pretty much insoluble problem for them having sold off large chunks of their future income streams in pursuit of cash in hand.

To be fair most of the ridiculous contracts are coming off now, they have finished paying Messi & Coutinho. Lewandowski & De Jong’s ridiculous contracts expires in the summer which should save another €40m/yr in wages.

But they then go and give 18yr old Yamal a €300k/w wages + €10m/yr in bonuses, and wonder why he is having orgies and hiring clowns 😂
