Not really. Hazard this season was quite almost as good as Bale was last season. I know his form dipped during later stages and injuries etc. But still Hazard is also about 1.5 year younger than Bale and is more creative. 80 million is a must.

 

Selling him for 50millions is probably the worst thing for us.

There is no way you can make a comparison between Hazard being as good as Bale.

 

Bale is better, faster, stronger, scores all sorts of goals and creates all sorts of goals. I love Hazard, i think he's great, But Bale is a phenomenal player.

Bale is a better player as it stands IMO so Hazard is worth less.

We clearly need to sign homegrown statused players this window, if any (other than the striker (maybe 2) positions)

 

That means Micah Richards could well do a job,

 

if Mikel, Ramires and Luiz all leave, then Rodwell would be well worth a punt at a massively reduced rate.

I think theres more to a player than writing them off as a sicknote, I did say severely reduced price (3-4 million)

 

He was ace for City, looked composed, went to city and sat on the bench / stands, then when he was expected to play he got injured, probably down to match fitness.

 

He was the Barkley before Ross Barkley...... still think theres something there.

The thing about Hazard's price tag is he is on a long contract with us. We dont need to sell so we could hold out for 60+ million. Im not saying we should but im saying we could.

The article said we won't be selling any star players which is why I based it on Luiz not being used as part exchange.

 

Mangala's release clause is £38m but then Matic's was supposedly was around £40m.... It's not to say a club won't sell below the release clause it just means they don't have to accept.

You do realise they don't have to be English to class as homegrown, right?

Differnece is hell be sold from Bayern were everyone knows hes not the 1st option. Wouldnt be surprised to see them sell him at a discounted price.

First off I'd take him in a heartbeat. Think he's easily the best midfielder in the PL, arguably the world. No way they'd sell to us though, he's got a fair bit of time on his contract and I imagine they'd rather let him rot on the bench than sell to Chelsea, or any other PL team for that matter.

 

The whole situation is absolutely hilarious though. For all the stick some of our lot get, I'm so happy we don't have anyone who would cry (threaten to leave) at his club not wishing him a happy birthday (not getting a bugatti for his birthday)!!
