Why not? United appear to be spending stupidly on players that don't fit the squad. I say go for it! Sign Ronaldo as a player who has peaked at a ridiculous sum and will only want more. It shall go well with Rooney's contract. With that said, I am not sure how much he will improve them.

As for Chelsea signing him: don't think we need him at his age and the sum he will command. I much rather skip over him (even though he is a star) and lock in two star players who can improve the club.

My guess is Ronaldo will sign with an MLS club for Beckham money and open many American eyes to the beautiful game. Ronaldo would be a massive signing for MLS and he could really turn Americans ears to this game. Be enormous for the Premier League as well. Most of us Yanks watch the Premiership and with NBC Sports pushing hard watch out.

Anyone had any thoughts about the Gotze comment (about him being open to playing abroad). Do you think he would come to us, that we would want him and finally how he would fit in. I always hear about how he's a very good player but not seen too much of him or his style.

This is his second season now. 

 

I'd take Gotze in a heartbeat, ship out Oscar who still has yet to do anything since scoring twice against Juventus. To be honest though i'm pretty happy with what we have, I don't see an outstanding need to buy anyone in January, but we'll see how the season progresses

    I think there is still almost no chance that he will go to Vitesse. They have got solid centre-backs (Kashia, Mori, Van der Heijder), but you will never know what the partnership between us and Vitesse will bring.

    The Daily Star are reporting this evening that Chelsea are preparing a 'mega' bid for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling, with the teenager yet to sign any new contract at Anfield. The tabloid claim Chelsea are willing to offer £48million for the 19-year-old.

    Seriously though, not going to happen and he isn't even worth half of the quoted price.

    would be fantastic to see sterling on one wing with haz on the other (or as a #10). Not for 48m though and they won't sell either way tbh
