That Mammana guy definitly looks like a prospect. Been called up and played for Argentina aswell so must be something there.

 

His tackling reminded me of Carvalho in his prime.

 

Possibly. But Argentina's defensive line isn't exactly top class... They have also called up an average Roncaglia or a less than average Marcos Rojo for the Copa America, while Mammana didn't even get the nod.

 

So I wouldn't necessarily make much of Mammana being called up for the Argentinian national team.

juve apparently are willing to sell asamoah if cuadrado goes the opposite way. i would be for that.

His injuries are too significant for me, to be out the game for as long as he has is very worrying.

Being linked to Asamoah lead me to believe Conte wants to implement his 3-4-1-2 tactic here too. Or you can call it 3-4-3 or whatever but three centrebacks basically with wingbacks. Asamoah was great for him as left wingback back when he was Juve-manager.

That Mammana guy looks promising but i'd rather us not sign any more young CB's. We've got Zouma, Christensen coming back after next season and JCS and Tomori both improving every day. I'd rather us get one older, established CB and use what we already have when it comes to young players.

    According to the Times Jamie Vardy has a 22 million release clause. He is worth that if you ask me.

    22m for a 29 year old? I will rather give his playing time to Solanke.

    so arsenal are being linked to koulibaly now, and they're also after morata. arsenal finally showing urgency in the transfer window, but could be at our expense if we miss out on our targets to arsenal.

    there is talk we want to bring christensen back from loan but the player himself is unsure he'll get game time. i suppose that is a reasonable concern considering, but if we can't pull out a top central defensive signing, it's our only other choice really.

    One of the papers saying Jose wants Willian at United. Honestly they're just making sh*t up, throwing sh*t at a wall and hoping it sticks.

    Man U could really do with RW also with Pedro, Cuadrado, Kenedy, Moses, Traore, Musonda we have depth in that position (not that any of them are better).

    Willian was also one of the only players seemingly performing well under Mourinho, along with the plus side for United that they will be stealing Chelsea's "best" player showing off their pulling power, kind of like all the fuss that was made about them stealing Mata even though he was second choice at the time.

    So I can understand why the link has been made. But I agree that it doesn't really make sense and I can't see us selling to United when there isn't a likely option that we could bring in that would be better.

    I could get behind it if it were to mean the club were trying to promote Traore, Kenedy and Musonda into more prominent roles within the team but if we just end up accommodating Cuadrado or Moses it will be a massive downgrade and show a lack of ambition from the club.
