Is he? I know he was out with long term injury and I don't watch Serie A but whenever I saw Chiesa in the past he was brilliant. And for that kind of money I'd take a gamble.

Chiesa is the Italian Daniel James. And I rate Daniel James as an abysmal, Championship level player.

He’s not done much at Juve.

He had 1 good tournament with Italy but he is injury prone.

Also, I don’t believe he could play in the PL with its intensity.

He is highly rated though, not one of the hopeful punts Clearlake seems to be making. Madrid in recent years have been signing young players at the top of the market, and haven’t gotten any wrong yet. I reckon Utd just need to give him the environment to flourish.

Contract due in one year and United payed 62M + 8M in add ons. I mean this is stupidity at it's highest level. Simply no other way to describe it.

Just the other day I was reading in the French media that Madrid made their last offer of 20M + 10M in add ons and PSG did 35M + 5M and would not go higher by Luis Enrique's request.

For United to basically do double Madrid and PSG's offers is the sign of sheer stupidity.

I mean people accuse Chelsea of spending that much on young players, but look at United. A fortune spent on average players.

Van De Beek, Varane, Sancho, Casemiro, Antony, Mount, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Yoro. Around 650M on bang average players. 

Unfortunately, United would never be under the same scrutiny as Chelsea. Close but not the same.
