I haven't watched Bournemouth this season, but Marcos Senesi certainly looks very good based on his data. On relatively low wages too (£50K a week)

I think I'd rather we tried to get him than this Jacquet chap, especially when we have so many young centre backs already.

A centre-back quartet of Senesi, Colwill, Acheampong and Anselmino, with Fofana to play as fitness dictates ... not bad on paper !

Leave Sarr at Strasbourg for another season in 26/27. Offload Disasi. Badiashile and (as is looking likely) Chalobah.

9 years too old

As the fee will be low (or nothing) he might still have a similar resale profit in 5 years time to a £60m 20 year old who doesn't quite kick on how they think ... so it might still fit the model 😀

Nah if any of the two deserve to be here next season it’s Sarr.

Anselmino would compete with Fofana on hospital bed appearances.

Credit where credit is due ... Aaron is a slight upgrade on Wes !

He's missed more days by age 20 than Fofana did ... 😎

If he's breaking in Germany he's got no hope here. Send him to Vasco in a swap for that Rayan lad that our Vasco visitor is raving about.

I think I read somewhere that Dortmund were interested in buying Anselmino outright, so will be interesting if they still try for that ...

Sterling to Napoli on loan possible (Sky Sports)

Another rumour is that Sterling is returning to the squad and that it was apparently Enzo Maresca who didnt like him and now he has gone, well why not eh? I mean he is with us until 2027 on wages of about 25 million quid. Could he be any worse than say Garnacho or Blamie Jamie?

Acheampong could be a great CB in the future and so could Hato and Levi Colwill and . . . Wes Fofana is not ancient. They could all be good CBs in the future. Right now i would suggest we sign a CB with a bit more experience. A player who has played maybe 200+ games over many seasons. Liverpool are looking at Alessandro Bastoni. He might do better coming to Chelsea.

Hmmm... spent a year with Arsenal and only managed one goal - some will say he'll fit right in!

HERE COMES THE PR MACHINE IN OVERDRIVE

The Stamford Bridge side and Paris St Germain are among the clubs maintaining a watching brief on Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez for the summer.

By the law of averages, if you sign enough Argentinians you will eventually get a good one !

Okay i've seen enough, time to give Anselmino a 7 year deal on 250k a week

Heavily linked with Yisa Alao this morning, a 17 year old CB from Sheffield Wednesday who’s made a staggering 2 professional starts in his career.

Quite clearly the answer to our current problem of having no young CB’s in the squad/set up.

Has Dylan Williams esque written all over it.

£40m enough you reckon?

It doesn't matter. The window closes on 2nd February. No way do these clowns get the paperwork completed in time, even if they started it today.

I think PSG received Ziyech's fax this morning.

I doubt they will move ahead with that unless he returns from injury and has a decent run in the second half of the season.

Yes - probably more likely that they'll try to extend his loan into next season

Cole Palmer is homesick and wants to play for United. . .

journalism is so 'interesting' these days.

Please just close the window

I've been to Manchester, who would long to that place? Admittedly I was there before the IRA bombed half the city centre to bits, perhaps that was the best thing that could have happened and the rebuild improved the place. It couldn't get any worse, quite unlike CFC LDN.
