We will go for the Argentine CB at Bournemouth (can’t remember his name) as he’s out of contract in the summer I think. Saw a few rumours we want him. 28 and an international.

Can’t see it even though it’s the smartest option, expect a 21yr old CB.

Biggest issue like someone pointed out is we have 6 fit CBs, 1 injured, 1 banished, and 2 highly rated ones out on loan. Club needs to clear out 2 this Jan, and another 2 in the summer before buying another one.

Jeremy Jaqcuet seems to be the ventre back.

20 years old, under 50 top flight appearances. Seems to tick the boxes.

Looks good in france, although we already own Sarr who is the same age, played a similar amount of games, already played 18 months under Rosenior, and also has impressed in the same league.

Id take Senesi, i think we have some interesting young players in Achampong, Sarr, and Anselmino, what we dont have is quality experience and leadership.

Fully expecting another 60m on someone no-ones heard of, who will be sh*t, instead of experience.

Chelsea have made Jérémy Jacquet their priority. Discussions with Rennes is focused on the valuation of the center-back. Rennes want Chelsea to break the bank, while the Blues are ready to submit a first official offer around €50m (£43m) Rennes want €60m (£52m)

Don’t think he starts ahead of either Chalobah or Fofana, and is another one that will need 6-12mths to adapt. Begs the question; why didn’t we pay the €60m for Huljsen in the summer. He is a superior player and wouldn’t need an adaptation period.

Expect our SDs to frame this as a market opportunity, I am not even convinced he is better than Anselminho who plays in a better league, and probably just marginally better than Sarr. Better off recalling one of the 2 if we are after a project, but hey we paid £52m for Gittens.

Trev will never be an elite defender.. We need better but I highly doubt a 20 year old will be at Trev’s current level yet. He might well prove to be a better player in time but not yet.
