On reflection the whole defence was dodgy that day. We played well going forward but when you concede five at home you deserve to be beat. Still over 57000 there that day, we had no fans then if you believe the banter.

It was the first time I saw that last night and didn't even know that we got thumped 5-2 at home by dirty Leeds until last night! Not just Tommy Hughes horror show but boy did John Dempsey have a shocker. Gave away a penalty, scored an own goal and completely lost his man on another goal. He makes the current Man City CB's look world class!!

 

Bit before my time but boy did it make that FA Cup Final win all the more sweeter.

my first full season. 42 game league season, we won 3 at home and two away!!! Still enjoyed going every week aged 10 The football was poor but some of the entertainment off the pitch was good viewing!! Spuds and their neighbors were two that spring to mind.

^ The two pictures above are taken from the 1969-1970 Season year book. The line in the middle is because the picture is over two pages in the book. I was given the book many years ago by someone I used to work with.
