Wilfrede four stripes was my Brand of football boots back then ,they was just the woolworths Brand made to look like a pair of Adidas but had an extra white stripe on the boots branding and were far more cheaper than any Adidas pair by far .

Don't matter how good you were at football if you rocked up wearing Winfield boots in my school or local team you would have the piss taken out of you mercilessly. Like wearing monkey boots instead of DM's you just didn't do it.

Oh no shame on me , as i was always monkey boots over Dr Martens.... and then DM shoes over DM boots 🥾

shows what little i knew then and indeed now ha ha

Monkey boots were a definite no no although quite trendy with mods now apparently. Doc Martin shoes as worn by every off duty copper another no no 😁. Pity Ewell got banned he was the fashion guru amongst us he told me about smoothies they came after skinheads in the early 70's have to say I'd never heard of it before.

Cheers Bluehaze ,your right Weller wares monkeys boots but i fear his are top end wedge.

so black cardigan with a 1981 pin stripe shirt underneath and partially on show ,another fashion disaster i fear....

CB look at the thread you started ,still going ,fair play to you

Micky Droy still today my most favorite CFC player > he was a Tower for sure and for sure not on the same level as JT or many other number 5s but like i said before some things that allways pop into my head about chelsea are > blue stripe down shorts > Northstand (Even thou i have never been in it or ever saw said master piece with my own eyes ) > rotherham utd 6 Chelsea 0 > chelsea 6 newcastle utd 0 > and Micky Droy > Slough  > No5

That kit 😍

Just sat throu that and what a delight > how many times did Dury whack the post or the bar that season ?  Chelsea v shrewsbury ´ we thought we had scored we was wrong ´ > WBAs away KIT of yellow/green stripe shirt green shorts yellow stockings has got to be the best team strip ever ,it makes you want to play subuteo oh oh oh > that Tony Dorigo 3rd goal at man city > Graham Roberts with 17 goals that season >

when the shed was closed for the first few games Home crowds was 5000-7500 no away fans due to FA punishment . Why did CFC not sell off Seat tickets at dirt cheap prices to help fill up the seats ? From the footage the East stand looked empty ,or did i miss Something .

only went to six  games that season Leeds away / Home ,man city away ,Portsmouth Home and Barnsley away in FA-cup ,sc**thorpe away League cup .

Also known as Suedeheads, hair grew out a bit and a bit more style crept in clothes wise.

There's a website called Style Forum, with a section titled mods/skin/suedehead, over 2000 pages that will tell you all you could ever wish to know about how working class lads were stepping out at the time. Plenty of Chelsea pics/content as well.

Kerry-Dixon-The-Documentary-Chelsea-foot

13th Sept 1983

King Kerry Dixon scored Four Goals v Gillingham at The Bridge.

In the 40th, 44th, 54th and 84th mins respectively.

This isn’t a picture of him celebrating any of these goals.

I  just thought it was worth remembering and the fact that the number 4, figures I the timing of each of his 4 goals that evening.

Coffee has been good this morning I admit 😀

May i bring rockabillys into the fold with this mob > was there ever any rockabilly cfc chaps ever seen on the shed terrace ?

Icky was a big King Kurt fan.

Carshalton Blue.....welcome back, do you keep going away on her majestys pleasure ? Miss your pictures and posts your deep love for Chelsea shines through.

Could and never will like teddy boys, grebos, goffs hells Angels. First and last of the Skinheads. Shocked at Hickey though explains the hair. Motown, Northern Soul, SKA or bluebeat,reggae....music with meaning you can dance too. Could not stand that Oi crap that the gypsys from the East played. Yes saw them once just to have it with the famous ICF.........NOT.
