Don't matter how good you were at football if you rocked up wearing Winfield boots in my school or local team you would have the piss taken out of you mercilessly. Like wearing monkey boots instead of DM's you just didn't do it.
September 11, 20205 yr Oh no shame on me , as i was always monkey boots over Dr Martens.... and then DM shoes over DM boots 🥾 shows what little i knew then and indeed now ha ha

Doc Martin shoes as worn by every off duty copper another no no 😁. Pity Ewell got banned he was the fashion guru amongst us he told me about smoothies they came after skinheads in the early 70's have to say I'd never heard of it before.

Why did CFC not sell off Seat tickets at dirt cheap prices to help fill up the seats ? From the footage the East stand looked empty ,or did i miss Something . only went to six games that season Leeds away / Home ,man city away ,Portsmouth Home and Barnsley away in FA-cup ,sc**thorpe away League cup . /

Also known as Suedeheads, hair grew out a bit and a bit more style crept in clothes wise. There's a website called Style Forum, with a section titled mods/skin/suedehead, over 2000 pages that will tell you all you could ever wish to know about how working class lads were stepping out at the time. Plenty of Chelsea pics/content as well. https://www.styleforum.net/threads/mod-to-suedehead.89027/ Edited September 12, 20205 yr by MKBlue

September 13, 20205 yr 13th Sept 1983 King Kerry Dixon scored Four Goals v Gillingham at The Bridge. In the 40th, 44th, 54th and 84th mins respectively. This isn’t a picture of him celebrating any of these goals. I just thought it was worth remembering and the fact that the number 4, figures I the timing of each of his 4 goals that evening. Coffee has been good this morning I admit 😀
