Was still my favourite player at the time nevertheless

Joe Cole on Chelsea, Eden Hazard, scoring at Liverpool, Man Utd and on Desailly and more I had to laugh when Ferdinand asked if Mourinho had knocked some of the invention from Joe's game. I'd have said "Play that video where I scored against United and turned you inside out, you mug".

Making 674 first team appearances and scoring 268 goals. Yet was never capped by England ! He played for us for part of 1982/83. Loaned back to Carlisle Utd in early March 83 . Started 12 times, plus another 5 times as sub, scoring 5 times, Not a bad record. remember as a kid Saturday Tea time whether watching Grandstand or World of Sport, Pop Robson always seemed to score for West Ham

Thought that was just me ! He is one of the players (non Chelsea) that I associate with football from the mid 1970s.

Good to see Cannoville's fond memories of his time at Chelsea, my most prominent memory of him, is when he came on as 2nd half sub at Sheff Wed (3-0 down at half time) and completely destroyed them, 4-4 the final score and if it wasn't for a rush of blood from big Doug in injury time we would have won 4-3. When I was about 10, there was only one house in our street in Carshalton that had a television (about 12 inch screen from Radio Rentals). Every Saturday morning, about 20 of us would pile into the front room of the house and watch the Lone Ranger.
January 18, 20197 yr https://thesefootballtimes.co/2019/01/18/john-neal-the-forgotten-hero-who-saved-chelsea-fc/ Worth a read. Forgotten hero ? John Neal ?? I don't think so,
