Ivanovic facing 3 game ban

Strong rumours he'll be getting banned and to be honest it doesn't look good. What a stupid thing to do, he was doing so well for us and to be honest without him I don't give us any chance against Spuds in the semi or Arsenal at the Library. Being without JT is one thing but when you lose your best defender you are really up against it.

It's a disgrace because Rooney got nothing for his forearm smash but we all now the FA are in United's pockets anyway.

If he gets banned I think that might be us done for the season. Really can't see us doing anything without JT and Ivan and having Bosingwa at RB against top quality wingers.

If he does then its stupid of him. But there is a precedent, both Gerrard and Rooney have gotten away with worse over the past 18 months.

Looking round the net some are saying he elbowed Ivanovic beforehand which is why he reacted. I cant find any footage of it though.

Yes but both of those wear a red shirt, not a blue.

If he were playing for another club I'd say that was fairly conclusive, but since of course he plays for us I'll have to say you can't really tell from that angle. He certainly went at him in an aggressive manner, but we can't see the other side of them both which would tell us if he actually hit him or not.

That video is inconclusive, looks like a bit of handbags, is it the only angle of the incident ?

Rooney's elbow was blatant, and it was clear cut with video proof, and he got away with it, this will stink if if Ivan gets banned with that video being the only evidence.

He got elbowed before he "punched" him, no video of that though.

It doesn't matter to the FA though, any excuse...

One rule for United and Liverpool... another for everybody else.

Something definitely happened as SOON as that video starts. Whether its Maloney giving him and elbow to the ribs as he runs across him or whatever. No doubt whoever posted it started it from that time deliberately, but Ivan is not by nature dirty, and he looks straight over as he got a sneaky elbow or punch of something.

Having said that, Ivan let himself and his team down there by reacting. No mind though, Paulo looked good a couple of weeks ago, and the team will ride this out. Then he comes back for the final three games to gain enough form to start in the Champions League final in Munich. Simples.

I would plump good money on him to score again to day at Fulham.

Looks quite clear to me. The guy throws an elbow out at ivan so ivan gets some revenge. Just because the elbow didn't connect dosn't mean it should go unpunished. Either punish em both or neither!

Feck - hadn't seem anything about this before. Looking at the video, regardless of previous unpunished indiscretions, that looks about as clear cut of a red card/3 match ban you're going to see. It would be interesting to see if there are any other angles, but from that video it definitely looks like he tries to kidney punch him, or punch him in the back, which is definately not something I'd associate with Bran's normal conduct on the pitch.

Hopefully if this issue becomes more hot news, there are a couple of different angles of the incident.

See, that's the thing about c**tenburg. He's more interested in making friends on the pitch, and says "no problem, mate, I didn't see, mate" to Rooney, in hope of being invited to Rooneys birthday party. You could tell that the man didn't have a lot of friends growing up.

Fa confirm he has been charged, well theres a shock. Maybe he should turn up to the hearing in a red shirt and he might get away with it.

Also, Balotelli will face no further action for his terrible foul on Song on the weekend. What a f**king joke of an organisation.

Back four looking good for Sunday....

RB: Ivan banned

CB: JT broken ribs

LB: AC doubtful

Waiting in the wings: Bosingwa (who, to be fair, played pretty well v Spuds at CB).
