Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST

Featured Replies

Don't know how I'm gonna deal with this weekend. My beloved blues in the champs league final on the saturday night and my local team luton in the play off final at wembley the day after.

Got a feeling monday is either going to be the greatest day or just me drowning my sorrows

Just like four years ago I'm struggling to think about anything else. I'm just a mixture of nerves and excitement, but I'm sure a beer or two in Munich will calm my nerves slightly.

The coach journey is going to drag.

Drinking on the coach is a nice way to pass the time. They ask you not to but as long as you're subtle about it you can get away with it easily.

Zippy how did you feel about the ending of the Premier League? Looked very similar to what happened to you in '99 if you ask me. I'm sure Bayern fans everywhere were sharing a smile. :laugh2:

I watched it over here on Sky Germany. It was actually more like the 2001 Bundesliga season where Bayern's equaliser in Hamburg in the 5th minute of injury time secured the title when Schalke were already celebrating winning it.

But yes seeing Man Utd fall flat on their face always makes Bayern fans happy. Believe me you never want to lose like we did in 1999, even now all these years later I have never watched it again, whenever it's on tv I turn over.

We've knocked the b#stards out twice since then though !

Really? My itinerary says you'll be refused travel.

Yeah, sorry, that was a hugely reckless statement to make. An international coach trip packed with Blues who are gonna be looking to get liquored up is a bit different from the 10am Leicester - London on National Express. Not worth the risk considering what you're travelling for!

Indeed!

If they banned drinking on German football coaches there would be a revolution !

Is it true that Malouda is out injured ? TZ are saying so.

Probably, we've got so many players missing I reckon our lovely physio will make the bench on Saturday.

I personally think Malouda being out is worrying, sure he hasen't been a figure this season but when a job in a big game needs getting done he is our best option out there.

I can't trust Sturridge in a big game like this, I would of gone for a front 3 of Malouda - Drogba - Kalou with Mata in the hole. Now I think one of Torres/Sturridge will fill in for Malouda.

Judging by Robbies comments today, it might be Fernando due to his big game experience.

Its going to be a close one ladies, I would have supported you lot this Sat, but unfortunately Woolwich had 2 keepers out on Sunday and we were robbed.

on a side note I hear Hazard is heading off to Manchester, we didn't want him anyway.... :)

Hey, that spuds fella has the word y*d in his name,I thought we weren't allowed to call them that?.

Tis true, on my profile page it has * then a smiley face!

on the websites t's and c's, rule 4, says, and this is verbatim

4. Racist and sexist comments will not be tolerated. Something in good humour is fine however purely abusive racism/sexism has no place on this forum.

There is nothing wrong with the word in this context.

We're not. We're Chelsea fans we're not allowed to do anything without being cheats or racists but who cares.

We're going to Munich

That maybe true of the forums rules & guidelines, but never let the truth get in the way of a bit of good 'ol fashioned spuds hypocrisy.

Does it mention homophobia in the rules gay boy ?

No to Sturridge, no to Torres on the sides.

Is worrying Robbie is trying to think of a way to start with both Torres and Drogba. They cannot play together, that much we have seen. Danny is in rubbish form and should sit this one out, only on the bench because we lack options.

Choice for me is any of Bertrand on the left with Kalou right, Essien on one side and Kalou on the other or Boswinga on the right and Kalou on the left; Paulo then at RB. I'd prefer to have it be, from left to right, Kalou - Mata - Essien.
