Torres for golden boot lol

He won it at the Euros while being in poor form for us remember.

They had no other strikers, I'd be surprised if he gets in ahead of Costa.

Did Torres moan after the Champions League final?

Also as it was said, why would he want to leave when he is getting paid 3 times more than what anyone else would pay him right now?

Thats like you or me being the CEO of Apple and leaving that job to be a part timer in McDonalds.

I don't think he will be a starter either but not many did last time out when he won it too.

Costa is a hard one, he's a better striker of course but must still be rusty with this injury problem.

Has he ever said he want's to leave Chelsea?  No, ..always said he wants to fight for his place unlike some young forwards i.e. Lukaku and Sturridge who prefer to go elsewhere; has he bemoaned being sat on the bench...don't think so, he may not be happy but he doesn't mouth off about it and that is why Jose' likes him, it is obvious that he has lost he pace and has found it difficult here but for the most part he works hard both in training and on the pitch, is generally unselfish and has been somewhat unlucky at times and I think  for the most part he is frustrated with himself.  Will he work it out, who knows but 'Alice' can hang around for another year in my books.

If the tables were turned - Torres was watching Lukaku or Sturridge from the sidelines or playing out of position, how do you think he would react?

Did he not do exactly that? Watching a grandad and bambi play ahead of him?

For what it's worth the guys ability and production has been woeful.

However I think his attitude has been exemplary. Whether he gets paid 150k or 150£ is irrespective.

Wait how is that comparable to Sturridge being played out of position and Lukaku not playing at all. Torres plays regularly every season in his prefered position.

He didn't play every match this season but overall he has far more minutes than Demba Ba and is probably about on par with Eto'o.

When he does play he usually a starter and playing in his preferred position.

Sturridge and Lukaku probably have no more than 5 full matches combined leading the line at CFC.

Your original question was if Torres was sitting watching from the sidelines or playing out of position (which, by the way, he has done on many occasions ) what would his reaction be.

Well the answer is pretty clear as is the evidence. He doesn't moan and ask to leave, he works hard and tried to perform. As I said, unfortunately the production has been poor, but I don't feel you really have much of argument with your original point

The original question was if he was in Lukaku or Sturridge's shoes how he would react - the situation you described is nothing like Sturridge or Lukaku's situation while they were at the club.

Please provide us with a list of matches he has played out of position last season.

Basically all Sturridge appearances under AVB/RdM with the exception of Blackburn were from the wing. While the Blackburn match was the only one Lukaku started that year.

Has he ever bemoaned being left out? Yes, on the pitch in Munich 10 minutes after we had won the CL.

Not sure its case of "Jose liking him", more a case of no one else wanting him at £175k a week. 175,000 reasons why he probably doesn't mind not being first choice any more or looking to move on.

And ........... will it work it out???? I don't think you've been paying close attention the past three years.

No, I believe the original question was if he was in the same situation, which you quite clearly described as "watching from the sidelines or playing out of position" how would he react?

Well that has happened, he has experienced that. And he hasn't bad mouthed mou or his team mates.

And to get to your question regarding him playing out of position, I'm sure I could scroll through the archives to document various occasions that would support my claim, however , as I have neither the time nor the desire to do so I shall simply point to Munich.

He was referring to Sturridge and Lukaku - I asked how Torres would react if he was treated like them and the tables were turned. Playing  2.238 minutes this season mostly in his preferred position - is certainly not the same situation as Lukaku or Sturridge found themselves in.

Sure you can point to Munich and I will say that's not the most apt thing you can choose to turn our attention to, since you can read up his interview after we won the CL. It certainly was Lukaku level media ranting

Fabregas will get the best out of Torres.......

Well we can always dream...again

For God's sake leave Torres alone for a few weeks!!!

He's just given everyone another reason to  bully him for a few more weeks.

Jesus Christ he really is a shocking player, how can someone who scored the goals he did at Liverpool just turn into complete sh*t. I've seen nothing like it, all he had to do was f**king tap the ball in, my god.
