I might add I've been an ardent supporter of Torres and have hoped that things would change for the better for him, for us. Regardless of the scoreline, the instinct should have been to bury it. He has finally lost any lingering hopes I had for him.

It's a shame seeing a top player in decline but to be fair from the moment we signed him that has been the case. Perhaps 15 million is max, but the time is right to let Lukalu join Costa as our attacking threat and let Fernando go.
