He could be a top striker, but until he has proven himself at a big club he isn't.  Playing for Newcastle and playing for Chelsea are different kettles of fish, here he is going to play a lot of games (If FSW) gives him the chances were he will be playing against a team willing to put everyone behind the ball. Hopefully he can adapt and still score the goals.

 

I'm still looking forward to him coming though, he is much more of a threat than Torres.

Torres is the worst striker I've ever seen at Chelsea. And I've been going for over 10 years. This is no joke. I'm deadly serious. He is appaling.

Frustrating night again for Nando. I can't quite work out where its going wrong again for him. I will give him the benefit of the doubt over starting and playing pretty much every game this season. Thank God Ba looks to be joining otherwise we would be struggling. If he signs before the weekend then start him against southampton give Nando some time to recharge his batteries a bit. Then hopefully he'll physically and mentally be ready to come back in and help us where we need him.

Putting up with Torres' sh*te performances week after week is boring.

And I'm not even joking. That's why I said we'd be better of starting with 10 men, rather than someone who tries to avoid goalscoring opportunities and then when the ball is unfortunate enough to land at his feet he either does nothing or just hits it as hard as he can.

Everybody jumps down Nando's neck when we lose/or don't win. I'm not saying he played well today and i am not going to say he's setting the league alive so far. But I don't think we can so easily say "chelsea didnt win cause of torres lets get on the forum and have a pop at him" rather than account any of the other 10 on the pitch. In the whole final third we were poor today thats not all down to him.

Disagree. Even if you're knackered, just hang on the shoulder of the last defender and make a run every now and again. He can't even do the basics I was taught when I was 7 years old.

Youre angry mate i can tell so don't be afraid to go outside and maybe even kick a lampost if you feel like it. He's started more games than anyone in our squad and up until this week he's been practically our only centre forward thats. He's f**ked he needs a rest and getting Ba in will give him that chance and also take some of the flack off him.
