Arsenal's 7-5 comeback yesterday just got me thinking what the best Chelsea comeback ever was? Definitely like to hear older fans views as well. The 4-3 v Spurs in 1993/94 is probably up there but that's the season before I started supporting Chelsea so just ahead of my time. Normally we seem to be on the receiving end of comebacks i.e Spurs in the 4-4 where we were 3-1 up, I can't even bring myself to talk about Leicester in the 98/99 season it still hurts so much as does the 3-2 against Arsenal the season after.

Controversial I know but for me it was probably Barca last season. People may say Bayern but a part of me always believed even in the dying seconds. I won't lie when we went 2-0 down and Cahill went off injured and JT sent off I thought that was it, I'd have been happy for the ref to blow the whistle there and then under a respectable scoreline. I never even imagined it was possible that's why I'm selecting it as the best Chelsea Comeback ever.

Personal favourite was the 4-2 Fa Cup win against Liverpool in '97. Not a great come back in terms of how many goals we were down by but still a game I will always remember!

Beat me by 2 seconds ^

Perhaps not the best, but the one I remember the most is of course the Champions League final. I know we were just one goal down, but it came so late in the game and then Drogba did his magic.

In fact, our entire CL season was an amazing comeback.

last season against barca. 2-0 down on camp nou, captain sent off . . . i know we needed only 1 goal to get back into winning position but i still think its a remarkable achievement

Too hard to choose. I would like to give a special mention to the 4-2 win against Barcelona in the Champions league in the 04-05 season. 2-1 down in the first leg then the second leg we exploded and ripped them apart in the first 20 minutes, then Ronaldinho scored that ridiculous goal and penalty and left me panicking then JT won the game for us with a header...................great memories.

4-2 against Liverpool in the FA cup in 97, one of the most exciting matches ever, Mark Hughes changed the game for us. This was definitely my favourite.

Tonight comeback was pretty awesome too mind

For me, it's Barcelona away this year.

2 goals and a man down, and our captain and a defender no less of the calibre of John Terry at that, away from home against one of the greatest attacking teams football has ever seen.

Many comebacks are often foregone conclusion; it's easier to comeback regardless of the deficit when momentum swings your way. Momentum was never with us once in all 180 minutes of this tie and yet we still went through.

And we finished the game without Luiz, Cahill and Terry in defence. Still stopped them from scoring. Bosingwa played perhaps his best game for us and as a centre back. Didn't Drogba play in our defence as well? It was a crazy game.

In terms of importance Bayern but i loved the Liverpool 4-4 in the 09 champions league I think.3-1 down and we drew.Alex got a superb free kick.We were 3-1 up from the first leg so it didnt matter but thats the most enjoyable comeback i've watched

70 cup final - came back twice in the first match and again in the replay against the 'best team' of the day. A defining moment for the team

Same with Liverpool - still remember Hughes (on as sub), bristling at kick off, impatient to get stuck in.

Barca last year (although it cost me some earthly life years). Who can't still remember Lampard's deft chip and Ramires waiting for the ball to bounce before lobbing. Polished off by Torres and his jump over Valdes.

Good call, made beating the b*stards even sweeter!

I remember a game the following season (1970/71) where we were 3-0 down at half-time away at (eventually relegated) Blackpool, but came back to win 4-3 with two goals by Keith Weller, another by David Webb, and an own goal. Unfortunately I wasn't there to see it, I was only about 13 and my paper round money only went far enough for away games in London back then.

Surprised there isn't a mention of the Sheff Wed League Cup game in 1984(?)

Can't recall many other times we've come back from 3 down. Really should've won that match too (cheers Dougie Boy)

Edit - sorry Coco! Great minds and all that.

I know it was only the Rumbelows cup , but Pompey away 2-0 down with less than ten to go. My mate was giving me daggers for making him come down there that night. Then it happened , Jason Cundy (or rodders) Wisey peno , and Kevin Wilson . Amazing!!

Being down 2 0 at Brugge and then winning 3 0 at the Bridge in the second leg was sh*t hot too

You obviously left before the end, we won 4-0 in the second leg

Vicenza (a) 1998 for me.

Poyet with the first... but no one likes him anymore.

Franco with a BULLET who everyone still loves.

Hughes completing it... and everyone wants him to fail (at the moment).
