Drogba is a classy guy, an all round good bloke.

 

I wonder if the players that have left were invited.

Didier Drogba is officially the biggest legend of Chelsea FC. 

 

He deserves to have statue built of him outside of Stamford Bridge and hopefully in years to come, there will be an award named after him.

 

He's a superstar on and off the field. 

Will never get tired of saying how much of a legend Drogba is. Those rings are amazing.

Drogba oozes class. What a thing to do for his old teammates and friends. And the rings look fantastic.

Loved how the Mail put in their headline that Torres was a no show... Failed to leave out its his son's birthday (apparently) and the fact neither Mata or Cech went too.

You are right it was more a post out of annoyance at Torres than anything. I just dont like him. I dont think its acceptable for the players who played at the final to miss something like that. Im surprised at Mata and Cech.

I disagree, actually. The rings arent a bad tradition, but in the US you have one champion per year, whereas in football you have so many trophies teams chase. I like the tradition of medals given to players over rings.

Also, considering this is far from established tradition, im glad it was a player and not the owner that opted to do this. It may have looked like Roman liked this team and this win ahead of our other great teams of the past that never won the final. Good on Drogba for stepping up, though.

Now that he's left Chelsea, Drogba is depicted by the media in reverential terms, but when he was with us he was universally despised. Same thing with Mourinho, only when he left Chelsea did he get the recognition he deserved, when he was with us he was public enemy number one.

 

Drogba .. The best signing made by the best manager we have ever had or are likely to ever have.

My apologies Drogba paid around £800,000 for all the rings. The money came out of his own pocket
