Norwich vs Chelsea (PL) 26/12/12 KO: 15:00 GMT

Featured Replies

A midweek game against Norwich next, simply one that we cannot afford to lose. It will be interesting to see the lineups seeing as we just played and have Everton away four days later.

Fellaini will be suspended for our game against them which will be massive for us.

As for this game, confidence should be high after the 8-0 and i expect a fairly straightforward win.

Norwich are in great form. But we have enough to beat them and with confidence sky high after the drubbing of Villa, I think we'd win this comfortably.

Can I just say, more of the same please!

This will be tough, Norwich have been superb in the last 10-11 matches. I think we have a contest on our hands here. We have to win it if we have any chance catching up with the two Manchester teams.

Hopefully our confidence will be sky high and we can go in here and win comfortably, but I think this will be tough.

Chelsea may just edge it, but I wouldn't be surprised about a draw.

Norwich have been on a great run of late and I was hoping west brom would burst there bubble on saturday. West brom did that so I am now very confident of a victory.

                                    Cech

              Azp            Ivan        Cahill        Cole

                               Luiz       Lamps

                  Moses          Mata          Hazard

                                  Torres

Get the game won then we can make some changes ahead of the everton game!

I believe juan mata scored his first chelsea goal against norwich.

Indeed he did, came off the bench for and added the 3rd in a 3-1 win.

Expecting another 3-1 win but as long as we get the 3 points i'l be happy. Vital game.

Tempting not to rotate given the previous result but I'd bring in Rambo for Lamps and Oscar for perhaps Hazard (but more likely Moses). Maybe Berty for Cole too? Who's after Norwich?

Norwich will be a tougher nut to crack than Leeds or Villa. It will be interesting to see who Benitez starts against them. Here's the lineup I'd like to see:-

------------------------------------------------------------Cech------------------------------------------------

Ivanovic-----------------------------Cahill------------------------------Luiz-------------------------Cole

----------------------------------------------------Mikel-----------------Lampard--------------------------

Hazard--------------------------------------------------Mata----------------------------------------Moses

----------------------------------------------------------Torres------------------------------------------------

Prediction:    Norwich 0    Chelsea 2

Luiz back in defence :(

They have been on a good run lately especially at home,

if the team play like yesterday should be enough to beat them easily, but with CFC its always a big IF

Away in Norwich isn't exactly the easiest of games right after Christmas, and Man U are at home to Newcastle, so I'd imagine Man Utd to win that one.  While City are away to Sunderland.  on paper these are all games that the top 3 should win, btu as we've seen in recent games (Chelsea v Fulham, Man U v Swansea, City v Reading) you can't take anything for granted.

Our match after this is Everton??  So I'd expect to see some form of rotation that could see Luiz indeed drop back into defence, and a llittle rotation in the middle.  Maybe Lampard to continue to start, but if he does please don't play him alongside Mikel.  That isn't a bash on Mikel, more a bash on the Mikel and Lampard partnership.

It's a crazy time of year, and always a bit of an edge of your seat ride

Sigh I'm always away at Xmas and minis these games. Hope the team performs well. I like luiz in midfield. Gives us more options.

Norwich are doing well at the moment and we probably will not curb stomp them like we did Villa. However, I believe that confidence is high enough to turn them over quite comfortably, provided we give them the respect they deserve and guard against complacency.

I'd like to see Luiz continue his role in midfield and more of the same everywhere else. I wouldn't object to some rotation in our attack though, considering we've got Everton coming up soon who are always a tricky prospect.
