Lukaku to Everton

Featured Replies

It still baffles me that you all complain that Lukaku, a 21 year old, has said some things based on the fact that he really hasn't been given a chance to play here. Then we welcome a guy who spits, kicks, and is a real life twat in Costa.

You do know acting a twat on the pitch to win games and acting a big mouthed twat off the pitch are completely different situations, right?

Lukaku may have his problems or worries, but the only person he should be talking to is Mouorinho and not every f**king journalist who will listen to his constant bollocks. He`s 21, not 12, he should act like a professional if he wants to be treat like one.

Never ceases to amaze me that some people think that everything Mourinho does is genius and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

Lukaku needs to be given some hope that he will get a chance this season but it seems Jose doesn't like him so we've signed Suarez Mark2 instead.

Where did I say anything about Mourinho being right? As for Jose not liking him, what exactly are you basing that on?

Costa's done some questionable things yes, many we have called him out on in the build up to the transfer but he has at the same time fights hard on the pitch t win and from what we've heard hasn't made any complaints whilst at Atletico. Lukaku, because he's scored goals at two clubs lower than us in the table feels like he has a right to be playing first choice at a top club and instead of shutting his gob he mouths off constantly. At least Costa is commited.

Costa's never but someone on the field of play as far as I know nor been suspended for racially abusing an apponent either so unless its the number of goals scored you're referring to I'm not quite sure what you're on about.

Seeing as it was Lukaku who handed in a transfer request last summer it's fair to say that maybe we may never know the full story.

One does need to look at Jose dealing with the media, the way he speaks with them and it's clearly seen as an arrogant behavior sometimes. Jose project himself as " my way or the highway."

... Well he is in charge.

Well yeah, thats what managers are supposed to do usually. Its not a democracy.

It's more than Jose. It's Chelsea ' s way of handling youth. If any other team had a 21 year striker, who they paid 18 mil for, and spent the last two years in the PL scoring 15 goals a year, they would he giving them a real chance to play Lukaku has done everything right (on the field DKW) and that is what matters.

So under Jose it's a dictatorship?

Sometimes, it helps to be more understanding. After all, Lukaku is a raw material.

The best manager of the Premier League era wasn't known for his understanding nature...

He wasn't given the chance to play? Again, he was slowing be integrated into the team. He got 15 minutes against Hull and 25 against Villa. Then, around the same amount of minutes against Bayern. If he stayed and took his chances, he would have become a starter. All we need to do is look at Willian, Schurrle, and as others pointed out Azpilicueta. At the end of the day, Lukaku made Chelsea and Mourinho out to be the enemy in the situation and he only started to admit the truth after Mourinho got angry.

Well Mourinho does have a track record in that genius area.

See my first reply for Lukaku's 'hope'.

Think its a combination of poor management on our behalf, and poor attitude on lukaku's.

1st season he should have gone on loan, but we kept him even though he was 5th choice behind drogba, torres, anelka, and kalou. We didn't even register him for the champions league, and he played more minutes for the reserves than he did the first team. Not the best way to treat a new 12m-18m signing.

2nd season, we loaned him out which probably shouldn't have happened, given the fact we only had torres, and Sturridge. Then instead of recalling him to replace Sturridge, we buy demba ba.

3rd season there was plenty of talk about him being given a chance, and he looked good in pre season, only to find himself 3rd choice behind torres and ba. He clearly didn't want to be on the periphery like he was in his first season, and in a world cup year he wanted first team football, so a disheartened lukaku sticks in a transfer request, as he feels under valued.

Now we have just spent 32m on a new striker, and torres doesn't look like going anywhere, and he has been played based on reputation, throughout lukaku's time in England. Rather than be 3rd choice in what has been a political striking department, he see's his future elsewhere, and I don't really blame him to be honest.

I do agree lukaku is far to honest speaking to the press, and it comes across as immature, and unprofessional. He also seems arrogant, although I don't necessarily think that is a bad trait in a footballer.

I will be disappointed if he goes without really being backed by the club, but some players just don't fit at certain clubs. I think he will go on to be a great goal scorer where ever that maybe, although he might not be a great player.

But Lukaku would have gotten a chance last season he just didn't want to stat and fight for a place. Him wanting a a move is hardly our fault when he hadn't earned the right to be starting, remember its Jose who watched him train everyday so he obviously didn't fancy him right off the bat for a reason. Infact I'd say it was clear why watching him for Everton, far too often he was walking around nit doing any hard work at all. If it was as simple as simply scoring goals then Matt Le Tissier would gave played for a bigger club back in the day. Also want a prime example of someone who moved clubs and it didn't work, Chris Sutton, scored plenty for Blackburn but was average for us (I do note one if his finest seasons was when Blackburn won the title, however remember that he was playing alongside Akan Shearer in a hungry team).

Aldo my reasoning for pointing out Jose been questioned was he's been there done it, won the lot, he knows far better than any of us. I also pointed out like him Alex Ferguson also made mistakes (selling Stam a few seasons to early comes to mind) but just like Jose he always made up for it.

It's very tempting to take advantage of Liverpools desperation to find a replacement for Suarez and sell Lukaku for close to £30mil. Atleast if that money was used to bring in a quality player like Pogba, Reus etc.

Blah, blah, blah... Sick and tired of hearing about this guy and worse I am sick.and tired of him.mouthing off to the press. Hey Peter and Romelu, life isn't fair. Shyte doesn't go your way you either pick up the pace and try harder or you fold the tents and whine how life isn't fair.

Either shuts his mouth and stops badmouthing the club every chance he gets or he says I have two more years on my contract and I am going to probe I belong. Quit coddling him and making excuses because you know what, there is no excuse to go.to the media and whine. He is 21 and he should be more mature like anyone else in life. At the same time he is 21 with potentially a decade to.dominate for his boyhood club. Things aren't just given to people and he as a 21 year old should know this.

As someone else has said, can't wait for this ridiculous saga to be over with and the transfer deadline will end it all. Either he stays and plays his heart out without whining or he packs his bags. Either way, I coukd care less...
