July 30, 201411 yr I think Jose knows exactly what he's doing. Lukaku is an old fashioned No.9 who you might need when a battering ram is the only way, but DD will perform that task (among others). Costa looks a beast who will feed on scraps if that's all there is, and not miss the sitters.

July 30, 201411 yr Don't like him, or his attitude. Glad he's gone, Hope we bring in a replacement. Edited July 30, 201411 yr by JMaher94
July 30, 201411 yr Good money but we need a replacement, cheap option would be Remy but would QPR sell to us? would we even go for him? Was the reason he didn't join Liverpool his medical? Etc Cavani another option but is he too pricey? Is there room for him in the team? Etc Or will the club just settle with what we have? Guess time will tell
July 30, 201411 yr Well you can't blame him for this interview. He thanked Chelsea for the opportunity and he said he felt at home at Everton. Good luck to him and we better f**king do a swap deal with Torres or sell to somebody willing to take him. Edited July 30, 201411 yr by Butterhampton FC
July 30, 201411 yr At least he's not talking sh*t about us, so far anyway, they're still asking Chelsea questions
July 30, 201411 yr £28M. Nice. Mourinho knows what he's doing. Now buy Cavani and we'll piss the league.
July 30, 201411 yr £28M. Nice. Mourinho knows what he's doing. Now buy Cavani and we'll piss the league. Don't want Cavani for the price he'll cost. And Costa is the better striker for me.
July 30, 201411 yr £28M. Nice. Mourinho knows what he's doing. Now buy Cavani and we'll piss the league. If we did sign Cavani (which I don't think we will) I agree we'd piss leagues
July 30, 201411 yr Seems like he genuinely loved his time at Everton judging by his comments, Everton do have that sort of reputation so I guess it's no big suprise.
July 30, 201411 yr By my calculations we have basically signed Costa, fabregas and Luis for around the same money we have received for Luiz, ba and Lukaku...that's awesome business and surely means there is money left to spend while still complying with ffp
July 30, 201411 yr We've been smart with our transfer dealings at any rate, profit-wise. I don't agree with this sale but obviously Lukaku didn't have what Jose was looking for; the right attitude or the desire to work hard for his place. I don't want Cavani either, I think he's overrated. But who else is there...?
July 30, 201411 yr I saw Lukakus first game for us & he was awful. I've watched him since & he has improved, but his first touch & decision making is still very poor. His attitude seems poor. All in all, it's the right move by the club.
July 30, 201411 yr Good riddance as far as I am concerned. 28 million is a good price for him and sure it suits both parties. Guess he is a player and person who likes things on a plate and he will get that at Everton as the Manager and club love him to bits. I think he upset Jose when he went there in the first place and like Alex Ferguson once you do that well the writings on the wall. When he is 25 or 26 maybe he will realise no trophies in the cabinet and no appearances in the Champions League might be the reason to move again, but let's hope for his stake he makes a better impression on suitors than he did in a petulant World Cup where the youngster who started in front of him is happy to challenge the likes of Sturridge and Lambert at Liverpool.
July 30, 201411 yr Must sign another quality forward this window, no ifs or buts. Costa is decent and all but if he gets crocked we're left with a woefully sh*t Torres and an aged Drogba.
July 30, 201411 yr We've surely got to have something else lined up then. £28m is a great bit of business considering he wanted to leave, must leave a few pennies laying around to get a decent back up for Costa.
