Oscar - Little Diamond

Stupid dive when he had beat the keeper. At 0-0. COme on Oscar, youre better than that!

Yeah he had that daft moment, but then a goal and two assists more than made up for it.

i would have liked Jose to come out and be a bit stronger about his dive today. he likes going down easily in the area, and we could do without him getting a reputation. on the back of Mourinho slamming suarez for diving, i thought he might take this opportunity to come out and make an example of oscar to show his 'honest' side to the press. hopefully JT and the boys ill have a strong word with the boy anyway. he has far too much ability to need to throw himself around, no-one wants to see it, and it could cost us points in future if the diving tag sticks

f**k the press, he needed to say whatever was the best thing for Oscar to hear and the best thing for the team.

Was disappointed with the dive he needs a good talking to by Jose and am sure he will do it along with Terry and Lamps. If we are losing 1-0 in the 90th minute i would rather take the lose and get a point with cheating.

Last thing we want is our players developing a rep for that as when a genuine appeal comes refs will think twice

He came out to the bbc saying that once he had seen it that it was indeed a dive anything else need only be said in private.

Yes, exactly the right thing to say, nothing more required.

I love Oscar but i dont see him as a no.10 or i don't think that's his best position.I like players who play behind the CF to be more silkier on the ball,Hazard or Mata for example.I see Oscar more as a central midfield player like a Fabregas for example but with better defensive contribution. Dont get me wrong i think he's been excellent this season, just my opinion though on his best position.

Anyone agree?

I agree with you. Think he is a fantastic player who movement is second to none. Also getting more and more used to power of premier league and dealing with challenges coming his way. Still very young so can still improve.

In a word... No.

He's been superb playing in central role this season.

The difference between playing 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 is trivial a lot of the time.

Being the number 10 in our team isn't far removed from the role Lampard had when we used to play 4-3-3 when Jose was here during his first spell.

He works hard for the team on and off the ball, his movement is very good and links up play extremely well and a lot of chances come our way through that movement.

He doesn't have the skill of Hazard or Willian but I don't think he needs it because he's such an intelligent player.

Sounds extreme but I do think that Oscar's contribution to the team this season has been underplayed by some because they are so caught up about the idea of Mata not playing or when he does, whether or not he would be better than Oscar in the middle.

According to dailyfail, his dive is among the top 10 WORST EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!

Bit silly all that. Yes his dive was stupid but no worser then we see from many players in modern football today

Whereas we all know places 1 through to 10 are held by Ashley Young.

No mention of Ashley Young . . .

I assume Carroll vs Newcastle made the list? i mean, otherwise it would be a load of nonsense, and we all know the Daily Fail wouldnt print nonsense, dont we?
