Oscar was immense first half of the season. Guys 22 years old so I'm willing to give him a break. Played a lot of football for a guy such a young age. Could do with a rest 

Great player going through a lull in form,simple.

Hazard's really stepped up to the plate but Oscar hasn't, which is odd because he seems like the sort of player who relishes responsibility.

Might sound a bit crazy but I would leave Hazard out v City on the weekend and let the other 4 figure it out. Seems if Hazard is having an off day, the others can't just seem to step up to the plate.

Absolute gem of a player who has had a few off games . He's 22- looking forward to his future in a blue shirt . The way some people react to a few poor games on here really bugs me , it was the same with Hazard at the start of the season .

He's just going through a little lull in attacking form and looks a little tired; he's still entirely pivotal to our gameplan off the ball. Maybe put him on the bench for the City game like we did last time?

I think he and some of our other attackers need a break.  Willian/Oscar/Hazard have been starting since forever.

 

Both Willian and Oscar need to improve in an attacking sense for me though and I've thought as much all season.  Oscar can score but too much of our creative work is coming through Hazard.  In fact it's almost exclusively coming through him at the moment.

Hazard is the only one who seems to try and take players on which is especially important against teams who pack the defence.I'm hoping Salah can give us this on the the side otherwise we rely on Hazard too much.Wish we signed Ben Arfa :(.

Maybe Mata could get a run of games..oh wait.

He reminds me of Taarabt, both undoubtedly supremely talented footballers but seem more interested in showing off than winning games.

We are falling back to what happen last season where teams are compacting the middle and our 3 arent providing width.  

 

Hazard needs to learn to attack the wings again against teams like west brom that will stack the middle.  When you have all 3 in the middle, their no space for any of them to do anything....

Oscar was in behind the cms most of the game retrieving the ball and hazard was in the final third in the center...

 

Oscar took 1 shot that whole game, while Willian took 6 and hazard for some reason doesnt like to shoot the ball the 2-3 chances he had at goal...

No doubt Oscar is a top class player, yet he seems to have had a dip in form.

When he's in full flight it's great to watch, a match winner.

Im still unconvinced by him. He has only 2 assists this season, and most of his goals have been jammy, so i dont think he will maintain his goalscoring form

 

If you look past his defensive ability his not half the player Mata is. I really have a problem with our starting nr 10 being one of the worst passers in the team. His passing % in the CHL is below 80%. Thats shocking!

 

He constantly gives away the ball. Today he tried to nutmeg Young in our own half, and lost the ball without anyone covering. If Matic does end up shoring up our midfield then Mata should replace Oscar in the starting line up.

 

You can take juan mata and his 2 draws for United and his sole victory over Cardiff...

So you are saying that Mata is responsible for the goals we were letting in before he left, that is ridiculous. If we can't keep clean sheets because our AM isn't good at the defensive work then there is something seriously wrong with our defending.

 

I like that Oscar can track back and defend but i would rather see him doing the work in attack for us, 2 assists is really poor for an AM.
