March 6, 201412 yr http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/belgium-boss-says-such-things-happen-as-eden-hazard-injures-ankle Why was he left on!!!! I'll be pissed if he misses the Spurs game, I was looking forward to seeing him put that knob Walker on his arse.
March 6, 201412 yr Doesn’t say anything on BBC or the Chelsea site where there’s an update on all Chelsea players featured in internationals so hope Sportwitness (whoever they are) have got it wrong. Fingers crossed!
March 6, 201412 yr Hazard just said this in an interview apparently:- Hazard: "It did hurt, but I think I can play this weekend." #CFC (Sky)
March 6, 201412 yr I heard he said this: Hazard: "Yes I got nobbled quite badly against the Ivory Coast but you're out of your mind if you think I'd miss an opportunity to kick ten shades of sh*t out of those Spud bar stewards" #CFC
March 6, 201412 yr Hazard just said this in an interview apparently:- Hang on - I've just noticed the "apparently" - you didn't just pick this off of Twitter did you? We want facts!!
March 6, 201412 yr Phew! Found the quote on Sky: "It hurt, but I think I can play this weekend," Hazard told Het Laatste Nieuws. "After 20 seconds I got a kick. A nice welcome, but I'm not worried about the injury." I can start to relax again - until the next thing!
March 6, 201412 yr ...raw like this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SRkmFPt-sQ definitely one of the best... Skip to 56 second.... if he was doing this every week no one would have any complaints... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yvty03Vei4M
March 6, 201412 yr Some Arsenal fans at work were celebrating the Hazard injury, karma was swift, Wilshere out 6 weeks.
March 6, 201412 yr That may help them, Wilshere is insanely over rated. Exactly what I was thinking as I read it on BBC. They might actually play some one now that can tackle and succeed by accident. He's a good player but that's about were it stops..
March 7, 201412 yr wouldnt class 'eden, eden eden, eden eden, eden hazard' as a song tbh Ok, so maybe more accurate to say "chant" but what player does have a "song?"
March 7, 201412 yr Ok, so maybe more accurate to say "chant" but what player does have a "song?" Willian has a song although it's more to wind up Spurs rather than appreciate Willian. You also here the 'Fernando Torres, Chelsea's number 9' occasionally on the rare occasion he scores a good 'un. The rest, Lampard, Hazard, Azpi, Schurrle etc have chants.
March 7, 201412 yr Yeah I suppose the Fernando Torres, Chelsea's number 9 and the Willian are about as close to "songs" as you get. Just thought it was a little pedantic that I got pulled up about "the eden, eden,.... is hardly a song.
March 8, 201412 yr Edens performance vs Sunderland away was in my opinion one of the best individual performances we have seen in the league this season and definitely the best Chelsea performance this season. He was quite literally "unplayable" in every sense of the word that day . Was an absolute joy and I regularly find myself watching the clip below . What a player . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63GP2fBknV0 Edited March 8, 201412 yr by gussy122
March 8, 201412 yr Love his confidence when he takes a penalty but if the keeper dives the right way they will save it easily.
March 8, 201412 yr Love his confidence when he takes a penalty but if the keeper dives the right way they will save it easily. Similar to Ozil/Balotelli/Berbatov penalties Looks good if it comes off put Jose won't be happy if he misses
March 8, 201412 yr Love his confidence when he takes a penalty but if the keeper dives the right way they will save it easily. I hope the idea is that football runs in slow motion for Hazard and he just puts it the opposite direction to which the goalie is going.
March 8, 201412 yr Love his confidence when he takes a penalty but if the keeper dives the right way they will save it easily. And yet the keeper never dives the right way. The reason for that is Hazard waits until the keeper makes a move and then puts the ball to the opposite side, its quite the skill.
March 9, 201412 yr Love his confidence when he takes a penalty but if the keeper dives the right way they will save it easily. It's not as if he's blindly picking a spot like most Pk takers. Similar to Balotelli, he waits for the keeper to show movement before he kicks. Certainly he will get it wrong on occasion but from what I remember he never missed a pen for Lille and only 1 for us so that is a solid record.
March 9, 201412 yr His penalty taking skills are fantastic. To be able to wait that long and then react is astonishing. We have an absolute Gem of a player here, and I hope he stays with us for any years to come. Will be interesting to see if his brother can ever make it here as Eden thinks that Thorgan is a better player than he is. I don't know if this is similar to Jose's statements that "Chelsea will not win the league," when it comes to mind games.
March 9, 201412 yr Eden will be one of the best players this league has seen. The Premier League is the best league in the world and Eden has made the transition look very easy. He's still young and could be one of the best ever IMO. Even Cristiano Ronaldo didn't adapt so quickly but there is still a very long way to go (and still a large gulf in class between Eden and Ronaldo) I can't claim to have seen his brothers play but from what I have heard from a friend who follows the other European leagues Thorgan is a good player but is nowhere near Eden. I suspect the only reason we signed Thorgan was because we wanted Eden but hopefully I'm wrong
