Watched the Atleti v Madrid game this evening. I have to say that Bale looks so out of place. Without the room to operate in, he was abominable.

I can't believe they left themselves with one striker in Benzema and didn't replace him. If they had gone all out for Cavani instead of Bale, I think they would have been in better shape. Their team is similar to ours in many respects. Very good defence, but something missing. Their holding mids are too attacking, abundance of talent in attacking mid and striking options below par of the standards they want to achieve. 

Nevertheless, they'll be a force in the champions league and can still win la liga. Early days.

Carlo is a great manager, but there's no manager alive that can save Real Madrid.  It's a club run by a circle-jerk of the fans, media, and self-indulgent players. Real Madrid will always be dangerous because Spain will always buy Real Madrid the best players and give them shady tax breaks, but they'll never be anywhere near what they should be with amount of money they invest because the entire atmosphere is toxic and getting more pungent by the day.

I saw this thread and i couldnt help but laugh! I saw RM play Sevilla midweek and RM's defense was laughable considering the top players they have. Sometimes i feel like their club is run by a kid who thinks he is playing FIFA Ultimate team :D

I thought Carlo would be useless at Madrid. There is more expectation there than there is even at Chelsea. AC Milan and PSG were easy jobs for him and both teams made him look good.

They'll come good.

 

Carlo has only just started and it'll take a while for him to work it out. I would think shipping out Ramos and Casillas might be a good start though. 

He wont get a while to sort it out at Madrid. He will be sacked by next summer for sure.
